Experience Design LeadWhat’s the role?
As a highly skilled and experienced Experience Design Lead at Huge, you will drive the creative output across a range of innovative projects, with a specific focus on digital experiences, and will be the nerve center of our design process.
You will interact with interdisciplinary teams, to guide the team through research, strategy development, concepting, product definition, and design. Also, you will push the work through strong collaboration and challenge the team to think beyond the expected. This is a hands-on role, where you will create designs, personas, sitemaps, and whatever is needed to effectively communicate the team's thinking.
What will you do?
Creative leadership and direction:
- Drive the creative output across a range of innovative projects, with a focus on digital experiences.
- Provide clear direction and guidance to an interdisciplinary team, ensuring collaboration and cohesion.
- Challenge the team to think beyond the expected and push the boundaries of design.
Research and strategy development:
- Lead research efforts to gain insights into user needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Develop effective strategies that align with project goals and client objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and design solutions.
Hands-on design and communication:
- Create designs, personas, sitemaps, and other visual assets to effectively communicate the team's thinking.
- Ensure the highest standards of design excellence and quality control across all projects.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide design solutions.
Mentorship and team development:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, helping them grow their skills and expertise.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Encourage the team to push their creative boundaries and deliver exceptional design solutions.
What do we expect from you?
- 7+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably in a digital design agency.
- Demonstrated expertise in digital experiences and large-scale project management.
- Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills that translate into innovative design solutions and successful project outcomes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in prototyping tools and software.
- Experience designing innovative layouts and designs that scale across platforms.
- Awareness of current design trends and technologies.
What’s a plus?
- Active participation in the design community in the form of organizations around topics related to the craft, and other networks pertaining to design community involvement.
- Awareness and interest in current design trends and technologies.

The salary range for this position is as listed below. Exactly where a prospective employee will be paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, the actual salary ranges for current and former employees who are either currently filling a similar role or did in the past; the candidate’s depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations; the market demand for that role and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based. For current Huge employees, tenure will also be a consideration.
