Title: Expense Accountant

Location: Denver, CO (In-Office)

Hours: 10-15 hours per week (Preferably Wednesdays and Thursdays) with potential for additional hours in the future

Work Type: Part-time

Pay: $20/hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Expense Accountant Intern to join our team in Denver. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in accounting, auditing, and financial compliance. You will play a key role in ensuring our expense reports are accurate, properly categorized, and compliant with internal policies.

Responsibilites

• Audit employee expense reports for compliance with internal policies.
• Verify that expenses are categorized correctly.
• Communicate with employees regarding non-compliance or missing documentation.
• Assist employees with system-related issues.
• Approve expense reports in financial systems for payment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with employees.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience with financial systems or accounting software is a plus.
