A Brief Overview
The Executive Director, Investment Business Analysis is a senior delivery and functional leader responsible for overseeing business analysis execution across major investment initiatives. This role ensures business requirements, process design, and solution validation are executed with rigor and consistency, translating investment priorities into well-defined technology and data outcomes. The Executive Director partners closely with Investment leaders, Technology, Data, and Architecture teams to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and ready for adoption.
What you will do

  • Lead business analysis delivery across a portfolio of investment initiatives, ensuring clear, complete, and governed requirements.
  • Oversee requirements elicitation, documentation, traceability, and approval processes across investment workflows, data, and reporting.
  • Direct business process modeling and optimization efforts to improve efficiency, control, and scalability within Investment Operations.
  • Act as a senior liaison between Investment stakeholders and Technology delivery teams to ensure alignment on scope, intent, and outcomes.
  • Ensure solution validation and user acceptance activities are planned and executed effectively, including walkthroughs, UAT coordination, and business sign-off.
  • Assess and manage business impacts of process and technology changes, including readiness, training, and adoption considerations.
  • Partner with Technology, Data, and Architecture teams to align requirements with platform standards, delivery sequencing, and data governance.
  • Identify and escalate risks related to scope clarity, requirements quality, and delivery readiness.
  • Contribute to the definition and refinement of business analysis standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Directors and senior team members, reinforcing accountability, quality, and execution discipline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field required
  • Advanced degree or professional certification (CFA, CPA, PMP, CBAP, or similar). preferred
  • 12+ Years of experience in investment operations, technology, or business analysis within an insurance company, asset manager, reinsurer, or large institutional investment organization required
  • 5+ Years of experience leading teams or major delivery initiatives required
  • Strong expertise translating investment business needs into functional and non-functional requirements across workflows, data, and reporting. required
  • Proven experience in business process modeling, optimization, and control design in complex investment operating environments. required
  • Experience supporting large-scale technology and data delivery initiatives, including platform modernization and automation. required
  • Working knowledge of institutional investment systems, data platforms, and reporting tools. required
  • Senior business analysis leader focused on execution quality, consistency, and delivery outcomes. required
  • Trusted partner to Investment, Technology, and Data stakeholders with strong influencing capability. required
  • Sound judgment in managing trade-offs across scope, timeline, and risk. required
  • Effective people leader who develops high-performing teams and fosters clarity, ownership, and continuous improvement. required

Compensation Range:

$126,710.00 - $188,840.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
