Overview
ACH is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Volunteer Executive Assistant to serve as a strategic partner to our leadership. Unlike traditional EA roles that focus heavily on scheduling, this position is designed for a "doer" who can take a concept or a "to-do" list and run with it. You will be the glue that holds our special projects together, ensuring that administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination: Track ongoing initiatives, follow up with team members on deadlines, and ensure projects stay on the rails.
Communication Management: Draft emails and internal updates. You’ll be the voice of leadership in various digital spaces.
Research & Briefing: Conduct "deep dives" on specific topics, vendors, or partnership opportunities and provide concise summaries for decision-making.
Administrative Support: Help with document preparation, data entry, and basic file organization (Google Drive, Canva, Freedcamp + Slack).
The "As-Needed" Factor: While the ED and Founder manages their own calendar, you may occasionally assist with complex meeting coordination or travel logistics for special events.
Special Projects: Take ownership of one-off tasks and projects as needed
Qualifications
Local to Houston, TX but not required (preferred)
Proactive Mindset: You don’t wait for a manual; you see a gap and fill it.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency with tools like Slack, Freedcamp, and Google Workspace is a must.
Reliability: Even in a volunteer capacity, you treat deadlines with professional urgency.
Discretion: You will often handle sensitive organizational information and must maintain strict confidentiality.
Communication Skills: You can turn a 2-minute voice note or a messy bulleted list into a polished professional email.
