The intern will support the Electronic Warfare/Signals Intelligence team by configuring software, training users, and providing technical support during military exercises.

We are looking for a Skill Bridge Intern to learn the Field Service Representative position with our Electronic Warfare/Signals Intelligence line of business. This role requires a candidate be approved for Skill Bridge or Career Skills internship programs through their respective branch of the military.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Work with members of the Engineering and Operations organization to install, configure, and maintain deployed instances of software by:
- Working with user organizations and operational units to develop, test, and formalize Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and TTPs that enable the user to make effective use of the prototype solution.
- Observing delivered virtual, classroom, and hands-on field training and associated supplemental materials in support of the above mentioned products.
- Developing use cases for electronic support technology, and working with customers to understand desired endstate and develop courses of action to arrive at a solution, balancing existing capabilities with planned and proposed technical requirements.
- Provide system maintenance and administrative functions including system configuration and modifications, participating in agile development process, workflow analysis, and software test and evaluation.
- Providing technical subject matter expertise and field support services in support of soldier exercises and DevOps engagements
- Install, operate, and maintain system components as required to meet the mission requirements during test events and demonstrations
- Provide guidance, assistance, over-the-shoulder (OTS) system maintenance, operations, and configuration training
- Develop and document maintenance support troubleshooting, diagnosis, fault isolation, adjustment, repair, and removal & replacement procedures as required
- Observe and work with Army units to understand their network, systems, and processes; use that understanding to improve software design and TTPs
WHAT YOU HAVE DONE
- Possess a working knowledge in performing analysis of systems operation, especially as related to electronic warfare and signals intelligence, wave propagation, radar fundamentals, and antenna theory.
- Knowledge of and experience in training operators in disciplines traditionally deemed to be advanced or difficult topics in an approachable and easy to understand manner.
- Worked in a crossfunctional environment to manage stakeholder equities and achieve value-add outcomes through innovative technical solutions.
- Working knowledge in installing, configuring, repairing, and troubleshooting software and systems.
- Familiar with basic Networking, IP routing, switching, and multicast routing
- Experienced in client and server software interaction including web-based application infrastructure and integration
- Possess exceptional oral and written communications skills and ability to work independently, with minimal direction; self-motivated and results-focused
- Served in the Army as an NCO, Warrant or junior Commissioned Officer.
- Experience developing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, or other process documents
- Supported operational exercises, reinforcing user training, and improving proficiency through guidance and developed TTPs
EVEN BETTER
- Integration of electronic warfare / signals intelligence value and practice from the tactical level, up through the operational and strategic level.
- Experience with interoperability support on various Mission Command systems
- Experience working at an Army tactical unit in the G6/S6, G2/S2, G3/S3, or Electronics Warfare Officers (EWO/CEWO) roles
- Strong understanding of C4I, Information Operations or related areas
- Familiarity with planning, defensive, spectrum management, and/or offensive operations on Electro-Magnetic Spectrum (EMS) (e.g., EWPMT)
