We are seeking a Vice President of People Operations & Total Rewards to join EverCommerce’s People Team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the overall strategy for People Operations, Compensation, and Benefits while ensuring seamless execution by directing a team of experienced leaders. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of the People Team, you will serve as a trusted partner and advisor, guiding the operational and rewards infrastructure that supports our growing business and creates a compelling, equitable employee experience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Set the vision and strategy for People Operations and Total Rewards, ensuring alignment with business goals and executive priorities.
  • Shape competitive and sustainable compensation and benefits programs, creating strategies that attract, retain, and motivate top talent while ensuring equity and fiscal responsibility.
  • Oversee the design of scalable HR operations processes across the employee lifecycle, enabling efficiency, compliance, and a seamless employee experience.
  • Set the direction for the HR Generalist team, ensuring excellence in employee relations, performance management coaching, and day-to-day HR support that empowers managers and employees across the organization.
  • Serve as chief of staff to the SVP of People, helping to define strategic priorities, manage execution of key initiatives, and coordinate People Team operating rhythms.
  • Provide thought leadership and executive-level guidance to leaders and their teams, empowering them to execute effectively in areas such as employee relations, performance management, and employee support.
  • Champion a data-driven approach, leveraging workforce analytics, benchmarks, and insights to inform strategic decisions and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of directors and professionals across People Operations, HR Generalists, Compensation, and Benefits, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and inclusion.
  • Act as a senior advisor to business leaders and executives, ensuring People policies, programs, and systems support both compliance and organizational agility.
  • Ensure global compliance with employment laws and regulations across all geographies, balancing risk management with employee and business needs.
  • Represent People Operations and Total Rewards at the executive table, contributing to enterprise-wide decision making and positioning People as a strategic driver of EverCommerce’s success.

What we’re looking for

  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including leading People Operations, Total Rewards, and HR Business Partner teams in a global, remote-first environment.
  • Proven success designing and scaling compensation, benefits, and HR operations programs for a 2,000+ employee software or technology company.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to advise and influence senior leaders and drive enterprise-wide strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, developing, and inspiring high-performing, distributed teams.
  • Expertise in HR best practices, compensation, benefits, employment law, compliance, HR technology, and workforce analytics.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certifications (SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CCP, CEBS) strongly preferred.

Where: Remote, Colorado/US
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States with preference for a candidate in Denver, CO – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation:  

EverCommerce is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $230,000 - $250,000 USD + variable bonus per year in most US locations. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. EverCommerce considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
