About the Role

EverCommerce is looking for a Senior Payments Performance Analyst to join our Payments Analytics team and provide valuable insights to the Payments Organization and Executive Leadership Team (ELT). This role focuses on uncovering the drivers behind performance of the payment business to increase attachment, improve activation, drive retention, and expand wallet share across our SaaS platforms.
More than just reporting on what’s happening, this role is about understanding why it's happening and how we can influence it. You'll be expected to dig deep into the data, spot meaningful patterns, and deliver insights that shape how we optimize embedded payments for impact and growth.

As a Senior Payment Performance Analyst, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Conducting deep-dive analysis of payment funnel performance to identify what drives attachment, activation, retention, and wallet share — and delivering insights on a bi-weekly basis to drive action.

  • Developing driver-based models and cohort diagnostics to isolate variables most correlated with strong payment adoption and utilization.

  • Investigating performance fluctuations and identifying the root causes of underperformance, drop-off, or high performance across platforms, segments, industries and channels.

  • Identifying customer, product, or platform-level traits that contribute to payment growth, then working with GTM and Product teams to scale those traits through experiments or roadmap initiatives.

  • Delivering concise, actionable insights and visual narratives to executive leadership and cross-functional teams to inform product, marketing, sales and operational strategies.

  • Collaborating with Product and Strategy teams to evaluate embedded payment performance, identify friction points in the user journey, and recommend enhancements to improve enablement, wallet share expansion, and retention opportunities.

  • Supporting forecasting, planning, and business reviews with insights into historical behavior, leading indicators, and opportunity sizing.

  • Capturing requirements and partnering with Data Analysts and Engineers to evolve the reporting suite and ensure the visibility needed to support proactive insight generation.

  • Maintaining trust in key metrics by validating critical data inputs and proactively flagging anomalies or gaps that may impact decision quality.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 4+ years of experience as a data analyst in the payments industry, with a proven track record of uncovering insights and influencing business outcomes.

  • SaaS experience with embedded payments, take rate, activation rate, and wallet share metrics; experience modeling these is a plus.

  • Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience querying and analyzing large datasets; familiarity with modern data stacks a plus.

  • Expertise in BI tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau for building dashboards and communicating insights visually.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear narratives and business strategies that drive growth, retention, and product optimization.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills — able to synthesize data into actionable recommendations for executive audiences.

  • Experience with driver-based modeling, cohort or funnel analysis, and performance diagnostics across customer journeys.

  • Ability to partner cross-functionally with Product, GTM, Strategy, and Finance teams to turn insight into action.

  • (Preferred) Experience with A/B testing frameworks, pricing experiments, or behavioral analytics.
