About Joist AI

Joist AI helps architecture, engineering, and construction firms streamline marketing and business development workflows through purpose-built AI. As the leading pursuit enablement platform for the AEC industry, our software helps teams accelerate proposals, improve content quality, and gain actionable revenue insights. We partner closely with customers to simplify their demanding workflows and support faster, more efficient pursuit operations.

Overview

Joist AI is seeking an Events Marketing Manager to own how we show up at industry conferences, customer experiences, and virtual events. This role is critical in enhancing brand awareness, generating leads, and building relationships that fuel business growth. You’ll shape event strategy from ideation through execution—delivering memorable, high-impact experiences that connect with our audience and advance our brand.

You’ll be both strategist and producer: developing the plan, managing budgets and vendors, coordinating internal stakeholders, and rolling up your sleeves on-site to make sure every detail lands. From trade shows and roundtables to speaking engagements and co-hosted forums, you’ll create events that showcase Joist AI’s leadership in the AEC industry.

This role requires operational rigor as much as creativity. You’ll own processes, build scalable playbooks, and bring data-driven insights into every event. From swag programs to CRM alignment, you’ll ensure our events are not only impactful in the moment but also measurable, repeatable, and continuously optimized.

What You’ll Do

Event Strategy & Execution

  • Plan and execute virtual and in-person events, including trade shows, conferences, field events, and digital activations.

  • Manage full-cycle logistics—budgets, contracts, sponsorships, vendor negotiations, swag, travel, booth design, internal comms, pre-event promotions, and post-event follow-up.

  • Conduct thorough research to identify and track event opportunities that align with business priorities and deliver maximum ROI.

  • When necessary, assist in the field with on-site operations, including hands-on booth setup and breakdown (ability to lift up to 25 lbs).

Thought Leadership & Brand Visibility

  • Drive executive visibility by planning and supporting speaking engagements, panel discussions, and co-hosted forums.

  • Ensure event messaging and activations align with Joist AI’s brand, voice, and strategic positioning.

  • Partner with the marketing team to create and promote events across website, social media, and integrated campaigns.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, and Finance to align event deliverables and maximize impact.

  • Manage vendor and partner relationships to ensure deliverables are on time and on budget.

  • Provide comprehensive internal communications to ensure alignment and readiness across the business.

Measurement & Optimization

  • Establish clear KPIs for event success and lead post-event debriefs with insights and recommendations.

  • Maintain clean, accurate data across CRM and event management systems, enabling effective follow-up actions by Sales and Customer Success.

  • Build and improve event processes, systems, and playbooks for consistent planning, execution, and measurement.

  • Provide data-driven insights to optimize future event strategies and improve ROI.

What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of proven experience in events or field marketing, ideally within a B2B SaaS company.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Proven track record of executing high-impact events tied to growth, pipeline, and brand outcomes.

  • Skilled in vendor management, contract negotiations, and sponsorships.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in fast-moving environments.

  • Proficient in Google Suite, Excel, and marketing automation platforms like HubSpot or similar.

  • Willingness to travel for event execution.

  • Someone who enjoys being both public-facing, and rolling up their sleeves behind the scene as well.

  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, early-stage or startup environments with shifting priorities

  • Bonus Points: Familiarity with AEC Industry

Why Join Joist AI?
  • Be part of a forward-thinking company that’s changing the AEC industry.

  • Join a lean, collaborative marketing team with direct exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Play a critical role in shaping how Joist AI shows up in the market, with opportunities to grow alongside the company.

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.

  • Unlimited PTO, including paid holidays

  • Excellent health care coverage, including free* vision, dental, and life insurance.

  • New computer equipment plus workstation/technology allowance
