Job Description

We’re looking for an Event Marketing Manager who is passionate about the Wise mission – money without borders. You’ll be a part of the Wise Platform team, leading the most impactful projects and programs of work in order to expand our growing list of global partners, helping us deliver world class payment service solutions to our partners and their customers across the North America region

Wise Platform is a sub-team in Wise which empowers banks, fintechs and enterprises to build global payments solutions through their own channels. We’ve launched partnerships globally, with the likes of Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered, Google Pay, Ramp, Brex and today have 70+ global banks and platforms connected and powered by Wise Platform. The Wise Platform team has seen significant growth in the last few years, boasting a number of well-known household brands as partners. To help accelerate this growth, we’re now looking to build out the marketing function in North America

To start us on this journey, we’re looking for an experienced Event Marketer ready to take on their next big step - leading the organization and execution of events for our B2B marketing function in North America

You’ll need to apply your experience of working with global teams to develop and execute a local events strategy, measurement and GTM materials. As the first marketing team member within the region, you’ll need to be comfortable in solving challenges and establishing ways of working. But you won’t have to do this alone, as you’ll be supported by our team of global experts across content, PR and events.

Day-to-day, you'll take the lead on our event strategy in North America, ensuring all events are meticulously run, organized, and logistically planned. A key focus will be to drive the right attendance, both in terms of numbers and quality, to foster stronger relationships with prospects and create new opportunities. You'll also support the broader regional marketing activities, including campaigns and collateral, to generate demand and awareness for Wise Platform, aiding the Sales team in pipeline progression.

You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Design, PR and other teams to ensure maximum velocity is achieved through our sales cycle. Your efforts will directly impact our revenue growth by enabling our commercial teams to sell more, better and faster

Your Mission:

  • Own and deliver the regional events strategy to attract, engage and acquire enterprise partners

  • Become an expert in our Wise Platform product and deeply understand the pain points of our priority verticals and prospects and how they vary across the region

  • Help manage and execute local events - both owned and third-party - to support the region sales team in building out the pipeline and, accelerating existing deals

  • Work closely with the content and enablement teams to develop localised content and resources

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience working in Event Marketing roles or running campaigns in B2B marketing teams

  • Experience in running and managing events

  • You’re a confident communicator able to speak to colleagues and partners with conviction and clarity

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strive to have a customer-first mindset.

  • Experience working in financial services: payments, banking or B2B solutions targeting banks and enterprise partners

  • Self-starter and impact-driven: you enjoy taking ownership of projects with limited oversight. You thrive more on autonomy than structure. You’re not afraid to take responsibility and ownership of your work. You come ready equipped with perseverance and a sizable sense of humour.

  • Quick learner and problem solver with a strong analytical mindset and eager to learn and develop with a passion for using data to improve campaign performance.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in using HubSpot

  • Experience working in an international organization

  • Worked in a start-up environment before

  • Familiar with financial services and major regulatory landscapes and understand how the remittance landscape / international payments works today
