Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.

While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

Coinbase is seeking a highly motivated and skilled ERM Analyst with 2+ years of data analytics experience. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking, capable of navigating complex data landscapes to identify, assess, and articulate enterprise wide risks. This role requires an individual who can distill critical information from diverse sources, perform in-depth data analysis, and effectively communicate complex risk narratives to leadership and stakeholders across the organization.

The ERM Analyst will play a pivotal role in enhancing our Enterprise Risk Management program by transforming raw data into actionable insights, utilizing data mining and visualization techniques to support robust risk identification, assessment, and monitoring, ultimately contributing to informed strategic decision-making.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Risk Analysis & Reporting: Conduct comprehensive analysis of enterprise-wide risks, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative data. Prepare insightful reports and presentations for various levels of management.

Develop and utilize predictive models to forecast future risk exposures and impacts where applicable.
  • GRC Platform Management: Act as a key user and subject matter expert for the GRC platform, ensuring data integrity, optimizing its utility for risk management processes.
  • Data Visualization: Develop and maintain compelling data visualizations (e.g., dashboards, charts, graphs) to clearly illustrate risk profiles, key risk indicators (KRIs), and risk mitigation progress.
  • Information Distillation: Synthesize information from multiple internal and external sources (e.g., operational data, regulatory changes, market trends, audit findings) to provide a holistic view of the risk landscape.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • Background: 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, financial analysis, or a similar field.
  • Dashboards: Experience using automation tools to streamline and automate business processes.
  • Data Visualization: Experience with data visualization and storytelling to communicate insights effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leaders.
