What We Need:
Synapse Health is seeking an Equip Supplier Network Intern to support the optimization and growth of our DME supplier network, with a focus on Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Hospice markets. This role will partner closely with the Equip Network leadership team to analyze supplier coverage, performance, and relationships across post-acute care settings. You’ll help identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve network access, service quality, and overall performance.
This is a hands-on internship offering exposure to healthcare network strategy, supplier sourcing, and post-acute operations. You’ll gain real-world experience supporting initiatives that directly impact network growth, supplier partnerships, and patient access.
What You Will Do:
- Network & Supplier Analysis: Analyze DME supplier coverage across regions to identify gaps, overlaps, and expansion opportunities
- Evaluate supplier performance, capacity, and service reliability trends
- Map supplier relationships across SNFs, Hospices, and other post-acute providers
- Supplier Sourcing & Outreach: Conduct research to identify potential DME suppliers in targeted and emerging markets
- Perform outreach via phone, email, and online research to engage prospective suppliers
- Gather key contact and business information to support network expansion efforts
- Pipeline & CRM Management: Build and maintain supplier pipelines using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
- Track outreach activity, update opportunity statuses, and document supplier information
- Support pipeline progression from initial outreach through evaluation and onboarding
- Network Intake & Documentation: Support the creation and organization of supplier intake materials for network consideration
- Assist in gathering and documenting supplier details (services offered, geographic coverage, capabilities)
- Help evaluate supplier fit through structured questionnaires and intake criteria
- Data & Market Insights: Conduct research on supplier landscape, referral patterns, and market dynamics
- Support analysis of utilization trends and key network performance metrics
- Translate findings into clear, actionable insights for the team
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Network, Operations, and Account Management teams to gather data and validate findings
- Support initiatives related to supplier onboarding, performance, and network optimization
- Contribute to documentation and standardization of processes and workflows
What You Have:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
- Ability to conduct research and translate findings into clear insights
- Comfort with outreach activities such as phone calls, email communication, and online research
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Interest in healthcare operations, post-acute care, or network strategy
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience with research, data analysis, or internships in marketing, account management, or related fields
- Familiarity with healthcare, DME, SNF, or hospice environments
- Exposure to CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and/or workflow tools (e.g., Monday.com)
- Experience with geographic analysis, mapping, or network modeling
- Strong storytelling ability with data-driven insights
- Interest in strategy, operations, or healthcare network growth
Compensation:
This is a full-time summer internship (June–early August), 40 hours/week.
Compensation is between $700-$1,000 per week.
