Responsible for the coordinated management of multiple related projects which make up a program directed toward a common objective. Works with constituent Project Managers (for the execution of their project and its impact on the program) to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program. Takes programs from original concept through final implementation. Generally responsible for determining and coordinating the sharing of resources among their constituent projects to the overall benefit of the program. Responsible for stakeholder management and executive sponsors. Interfaces with all areas affected by the program including end users, distributors, and vendors. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews program deliverables. Work with members of the executive team to set the overall strategy and objectives for a group of projects and to communicate the status of the program.SKILLS• Align deliverables of the projects with the organization’s overall strategic goals.
• Communicates strategy to the project managers and ensure that individual project goals align with the program strategy.
• Works with Project Managers to establish budgets, priorities, ensure project teams have the resources they need and work closely with Project Managers to track progress.
• Reports to Senior Executives on the progress of the individual projects and the overall program.
• Manages program change control, decisions, risks, issues, assumptions and mitigation planning.
• Designs, adheres to and participates in the monitoring of quality assurance and project management guidelines.
• Develops and delivers program status reports. Determines the frequency and content of project status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas to keep all projects on set timeline to control program timing and status.
• Develops and maintains all business relationships vital to the success of the program.
• Manages multiple related projects (a program) and guides other project managers.
• Consults and provides guidance in determining program solution. Guides team through buy vs. build options, hosting options and RFI/RFP processes when necessary.

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Requires eight years or more of project management experience managing large, complex projects or multiple projects within a program; working with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Requires experience with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK and PRINCE2).
• Additional years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Requires effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Requires strong leadership skills to include influencing and negotiation skills to coordinate and motivate project teams.
• Strong financial management experience to administer budgets across multiple projects and ensure the program meets its requirements for return on investment.
• Experience with Dental insurance products and operations preferred.
• Experience with federal government health programs preferred.
• Experience in the health insurance industry preferred.

The hiring range for this position is $108,979 - $137,865 USD. At G.E.H.A, the current maximum salary for this role is $153,621 USD.
