  • Incident Investigation and Audits: Plan and assist with compliance audits and self-assessments. You will also facilitate Environmental incident investigations and root cause analysis efforts following any non-compliance events.

  • Training and Awareness: Coordinate and actively participate in the Environmental training of personnel, and ensure that all relevant Environmental documentation is maintained and available at the worksites.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Education and Experience: A university degree or at least 10 years of relevant experience is required. An engineering or environmental degree is preferred. A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience is required.

  • Multi-Media Expertise: Must have direct experience with multi-media environmental programs, such as Waste, SPCC, FRP, Emergency Response, ASTs and Stormwater and managing compliance obligations. Regulatory Knowledge: Deep technical knowledge of various Environmental rules and regulations at both the federal and state levels (e.g., Clean Water Act, Oil Pollution Prevention, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act).

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction across all levels of the organization and with external agencies.

  • Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills for managing documentation, databases, and reporting.

  • Teamwork and Problem-Solving: The ability to work proactively and collaboratively as a solutions-focused team member.

Bonus Points

  • Professional Certifications: A professional certification, such as a Certified Environmental Professional (CEP). Certified Professional in Waste Management (CPWM) or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) is a plus.

  • Experience with Power Generation: Direct experience with environmental compliance in power generation, manufacturing, or oil and gas operations.
