  • Regulatory Agency Liaison: Work directly and effectively with various local, State, and Federal regulatory agencies to facilitate the environmental permitting process and secure necessary permits or authorizations in a timely manner to support operational timelines.

  • Internal Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that all key stakeholders are consistently informed of permit status and associated timeframes, thereby ensuring business plans remain on schedule.

  • Environmental Process Development: Develop and implement a range of environmental processes, including checklists, spreadsheets, and/or databases, to effectively track and report on the status of permits and critical compliance obligations such as required testing and reporting.

  • Incident Investigation and Analysis: Facilitate comprehensive environmental incident investigations and lead root cause analysis efforts following any failures, incidents, accidents, or non-compliance events.

  • Environmental Training: Develop, coordinate, and actively participate in the delivery of environmental training programs for Crusoe personnel.

  • Regulatory Awareness: Maintain a proactive awareness of all new and evolving environmental requirements and regulations.

  • Documentation Management: Ensure that all relevant environmental documentation is meticulously maintained and readily available as required for compliance and operational needs.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Educational Background: A university degree is required, with a preference for a focus in Engineering or Environmental Science.

  • Relevant Industry Experience: A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience is required in an environmental management role.

  • Air Permitting Expertise: Must possess direct and significant experience with air permitting processes and compliance obligations. Experience with Title V air permits is highly desired. Preference will be given to candidates with well-rounded experience in other environmental areas, such as Hazardous Waste and SPCC regulations.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive technical knowledge of various environmental rules and regulations at both the Federal and State levels, including but not limited to the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and their associated regulations.

  • Communication Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex environmental information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

  • Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in standard office software and environmental data management systems.

  • Work Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
