The Opportunity
This role is responsible for the overall planning, directing, and coordination of project activities and resources for our Public Safety projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. This role also serves as the primary contact for our clients throughout their software implementation projects. These projects may involve implementing a combination of software, hardware, and services for an organization. This role is responsible for successfully managing interactions between different internal departments and clients and vendors to fulfill our contractual obligations. The work performed in this role will directly impact the team's productivity, effectiveness, and overall customer satisfaction.
Job Duties:
- Initiates, plans, executes, controls, and closes projects.
- Assembles the project team, assigns individual responsibilities, identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops the schedule to ensure its timely completion.
- Consistently exercises effective communication and follow through and acts as the client's single point of contact during the project implementation.
- Will handle add-on projects and a vast amount of small to mediums sized agency new projects with minimal supervision.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the scope and budget.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third-party vendors.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Works independently and in a team environment.
- Collaborates and shares knowledge with others.
- Practices strong communication skills with a customer service focus.
- Able to comfortably and effectively present to audiences of various sizes.
- Identifies risks and seeks guidance from leadership or more experienced Project Managers as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
CJIS Clearance
A required part of the onboarding process for this role involves obtaining CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) clearance—a critical credential for safeguarding public safety data. At CentralSquare, we’ll stand with you every step of the way to secure this clearance should you be selected for hire. As part of the process, a comprehensive background check will be conducted, and please note that U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is generally required to obtain CJIS clearance.
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. Degree or an Associate's Degree or certificate with equivalent work experience
- 0 - 3 years of experience in customer facing Project Management
- Knowledge of project management methodology and processes
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Familiarity and hands-on experience using MS products including Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Certinia (FinancialForce) a plus!
