The Opportunity
The Enterprise Account Manager, National Accounts, will drive commercial execution for Abbott’s Infectious Disease portfolio across key U.S. retail partners, with primary responsibility for Walmart and CVS. This role focuses on retail account management, including executing customer plans, optimizing in store and online presence, and ensuring strong availability and visibility for Abbott’s rapid diagnostic products, including BinaxNOW and ID NOW. The Account Manager will manage day to day customer interaction, support assortment and promotional programs, and deliver insights that help strengthen retailer partnerships and fuel business growth. As the portfolio and retail footprint expands, this role may broaden to support additional national accounts or strategic commercial initiatives.
What You’ll Work On
Customer Ownership & Joint Business Planning
Serve as the primary point of contact for Walmart and CVS across buying, category management, merchandising, replenishment, and retail clinic/pharmacy teams.
Develop and execute annual Joint Business Plans aimed at delivering distribution growth, category leadership, and incremental revenue.
Lead item setup, line reviews, assortment optimization, and content accuracy across instore and digital touchpoints.
Drive execution of promotional calendars, retail programs, and customer‑specific initiatives.
Commercial Performance & Execution
Deliver revenue, profit, and share targets for assigned accounts.
Lead forecasting and demand planning in coordination with Supply Chain and Finance, ensuring high service levels and minimizing out‑of‑stocks.
Manage trade spend, pricing execution, and promotional investments with a focus on ROI and strong financial discipline.
Monitor weekly POS, retail inventory, and vendor scorecards; develop action plans to address variances.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with Marketing, eCommerce, Supply Chain, Finance, Medical/Regulatory, and others to align customer plans with business priorities.
Collaborate with Shopper Marketing and Retail Media teams (e.g., Walmart Connect, CVS Media Exchange) to activate customer‑specific marketing programs.
Ensure that product claims, packaging, and digital assets meet regulatory and quality standards.
Retail & Omnichannel Growth
Analyze category trends, competitive performance, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth.
Optimize omnichannel presence across Walmart and CVS, including search, share of voice, PDP content, ratings & reviews, and in‑store/on‑shelf visibility.
Support retail clinic and pharmacy strategies to increase awareness and usage of diagnostic testing.
Expanded Responsibilities as the Business Grows
Provide support to additional national accounts (e.g., Walgreens, Target, Amazon, Costco) as business needs evolve.
Contribute to broader strategic initiatives such as new product launches, long‑range planning, and commercial growth projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA with a focus in marketing or healthcare preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience in healthcare, diagnostics, or consumer packaged goods, with increasing responsibility in sales and marketing.
Proven success in developing compelling value propositions and driving product adoption.
Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience in forecasting, pricing, and business planning.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail analytics platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Existing relationships with major retail and eCommerce health category leaders.
Experience in rapid diagnostics and pharmacy-based testing.
Experience in digital marketing, omnichannel campaigns, and consumer engagement strategies.
Ability to create structured frameworks to evaluate, assess, and enable business decisions.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables across internal and external stakeholders.

$113,300.00 – $226,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
