English to Korean - Legal (Judiciary) Translator and /or Editor

Provides English-to-Korean legal translation and/or editing for judicial and legal materials on a remote, freelance basis. The role requires accurate legal terminology, native-level writing in both languages, knowledge of U.S. legal and judicial terminology, CAT tool experience, strong organization, and deadline management. Assignments are ongoing and on demand, totaling approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, with general weekday availability during Eastern Time business hours.

Global Language Strategies is seeking a qualified freelance linguist to provide English-to-Korean legal translation and/or editing services. This is an ongoing, as-needed contract opportunity for experienced professionals with strong legal terminology skills, excellent written accuracy, and the ability to deliver high-quality work remotely.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of professional experience providing legal translation and/or editing services.
- Native-level Korean and English writing skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. legal, judicial, and technical terminology in English and Korean.
- Bachelor’s degree in a foreign language, linguistics, translation, or a comparable field.
- Experience using computer-assisted translation tools; Trados experience is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

Candidates should generally be available between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on most weekdays and able to accept on-demand assignments totaling approximately 10 to 15 hours per week, as needed.
