As an Engineering Manager I at StackAdapt, you will be directly involved in the development of our advertising platform, producing production-level code that will have a direct impact on the success of our product. We're seeking a technical Engineering Manager I to help lead our growing full-stack engineering team. The digital advertising industry is riddled with interesting challenges as we continue to scale out our platform with a fast-growing list of customers.

What you'll be doing
- Lead and mentor a team of 6-8 talented engineers within full-stack web engineering
- Make a positive impact on the team's productivity and growth
- Act as a hands-on manager and participate in project design and implementation
- Promote software development best practices and conduct rigorous code reviews
- Plan and architect scalable web APIs and backend systems, and build UI components
- Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to ensure requirements and priorities align
- Conduct interviews to attract and identify potential high-performing candidates
- Balance and prioritize projects to maximize efficiency and ensure company objectives are achieved
What you'll bring to the table
- Proven track record of delivering results and leading growing high-impact teams
- At least 5 years experience in full-stack software development in web technologies and architecting scalable systems in a successful high-growth technology company
- At least 2 years of leadership experience with at least 3 direct reports, including essential people management experiences listed above
- You have in-depth experience with Typescript, React and GraphQL
- You have experience working with modern frontend libraries and frameworks (eg. Redux, Zustand, Jest)
- Experience scaling a Ruby on Rails backend architecture is a plus
- Experience in AWS is a plus
- A strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (we have not forgotten our basics!) - data structures, system design, cloud computing, full-stack development etc.
