We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to guide the technical direction and delivery of the VA Voicebot program. This role requires strong leadership across engineering teams, the ability to remove blockers, and coordination with program management to align engineering work with stakeholder priorities. Experience with IVR (Interactive Voice Response) systems or Voicebot technology is a plus, along with familiarity with VA processes and tools.
What you'll be doing:
As the Engineering Lead for the VA Voicebot program, you will provide leadership across two engineering teams, ensuring smooth delivery and alignment with program goals. You’ll work closely with the Program Manager (PgM) to translate stakeholder priorities into actionable engineering work, and communicate technical challenges back to stakeholders. You will clear engineering blockers, whether through individual contributor support, mob programming sessions, or technical problem-solving. You will also be responsible for running the scrum ceremonies for the Enterprise Integration team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in engineering leadership, ideally across multiple agile teams.
- Background in software engineering with the ability to dive into technical details when needed (React & Rails).
- Strong facilitation skills for scrum ceremonies and cross-team collaboration.
- Experience with IVR or Voicebot technologies (preferred).
- Familiarity with VA-specific processes: ATO, VAEC, network security, and standard VA tooling.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage dependencies, and deliver in complex environments.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.

Compensation:
At Wilcore, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.
United States Wage Range: $120,000 – $155,000
