Job Description

DUTIES: Provide technical leadership in developing software tests for the cDVR system; perform software quality assurance engineering; develop software tests; test distributed systems deployed with Kubernetes and Docker; develop testing automation frameworks for RESTful API using GoLang, Python, and Java; perform performance and load testing using JMeter, Postman, or similar tools; build CI/CD pipelines using Spinnaker and Concourse; work with Agile development methodologies and rapid release cycles; validate product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the code base; focus on writing code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency; develop and maintain code that validates front-end, middleware and database systems, using the latest tools and programming languages; evaluate new frameworks for automation solutions, develop test strategies and design test automation best practices; partner with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practices; represent test automation team's frameworks and methodologies to senior leadership and external engineering teams; repair complex broken automation scripts and resolve coding bugs in the product codebase; devise or modify procedures to solve complex systems problems; plan and lead team projects and may act as a cross- functional liaison; work across multiple project teams to ensure common practices; act as a subject matter expert; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, any Engineering, or related technical field, and seven (7) years of experience performing software quality assurance engineering; developing software tests; testing distributed systems deployed with Kubernetes and Docker; developing testing automation frameworks for RESTful API using GoLang, Python, and Java; performing performance and load testing using JMeter, Postman, or similar tools; building CI/CD pipelines using Spinnaker and Concourse; and working with Agile development methodologies and rapid release cycles.

SALARY: $130,686.00 - $165,000.00 per year

Compensation

Base Pay: $130,686.00

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
