Job Summary
Responsible for participating in project teams, researching technical topics related to Company operations, new product implementation, assisting with existing products and services and the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. The Capacity Operations Engineer is responsible for coordinating and prioritizing the full lifecycle of node level proactive and reactive capacity augments for both field and headend. This Engineer works with both internal and external partners to ensure quality meets Comcast standards while exceeding customer expectations and maintaining our competitive advantage on technology. Performs event correlation and identifies probable root cause; provides trouble isolation, basic troubleshooting and break/fix activities. This role will play a vital part in ensuring our network has the capacity it needs to support our customers.PLEASE NOTE: this position is 4 days in office, at the listed location, and 1 day remote weekly
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full lifecycle management of capacity related jobs.
- Manages and owns tasks in P2 and MWF while also maintaining additional tools such as ECAF, NDS, Watchtower, etc.
- Troubleshoots and works cross-functionally with other teams to ensure successful completion of jobs. Works closely with Construction, ISP/Headend, Access Engineering, XOC and others.
- Participates in and hosts project calls.
- Take a customer centric approach to all activities and operate as a team-player with willingness to flex and go above and beyond.
- Collects and organizes technical data related to assigned projects. Presents data and findings for review at the next level of engineering management.
- Reads and analyzes technical references and sources to obtain knowledge of assigned Engineering Operations topics. Identifies common operational and technical problems with standard solutions. Escalates more complex issues to senior Operations Engineers.
- Leads operational readiness testing. Resolves basic issues uncovered during testing and escalates issues to engage appropriate resources.
- Identifies potential instrumentation, automation and standardization required for successful implementation of projects or continued stabilization of deployed products.
- Works towards industry standard certifications and education.
- Works with peer operational teams on project implementation.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Primary Location Pay Range: $62,999.80 - $94,499.69Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
