Leidos, a Fortune 500 company, currently has openings for Summer Interns to support our Energy and Infrastructure Consulting (E&IC) Division. In our business, we apply technical, commercial, market, and environmental expertise to support the development and financing of capital-intensive energy assets and industrial projects. Our projects and areas of expertise include: conventional power generation; power generation from renewables such as onshore and offshore wind, solar, geothermal, and hydro; biofuels; power transmission; energy storage; carbon capture and sequestration; and hydrogen.

We seek candidates interested in a career in the energy industry, the willingness to gain valuable experience and learn new skills, and the desire to be part of a team working in a fast-paced environment and making a difference in society. The Summer Intern position will offer an opportunity for broad exposure to site characterization and selection, contracts and equipment supply agreements, civil and structural analyses, technology reviews, electrical and control systems, construction cost and schedule, operation and maintenance costs, and environmental permitting and compliance.  It is expected the Summer Intern will:

  • Review and analyze data and information;
  • Perform engineering and scientific calculations and analyses;
  • Apply engineering and scientific principles to solve problems;
  • Support reviews of contracts, agreements, and permits;
  • Gain exposure to modeling and software applications; and
  • Assist in report preparation and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's or Master’s degree program pursuing a degree in Engineering or Science.  Experience and/or coursework in Energy Engineering preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and perform individual tasks.
  • Ability to live in either Denver, Colorado or Framingham, Massachusetts during the internship and commit to an in office experience.

Pay Range:Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
