We are looking to fill an Energy Efficiency Technical Project Manager position as part of our Energy Efficiency Programs Department. As a member of the Energy Solutions team, you will have a broad impact on energy efficiency markets and greenhouse gas reductions through our work for major North American utilities, program administrators and other national leaders in energy efficiency. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Ensuring high-quality implementation of one or more midstream energy efficiency programs based in the U.S. through software configuration activities as specified below
  • Gathering program requirements from energy efficiency program managers, engineers, and trade ally contacts, and configuring proprietary software (a web application) to meet these requirements
  • Working with internal clients to debug, reproduce, document, and fix support problems for production web application systems 
  • Participating in user acceptance testing on behalf of assigned programs
  • Creating visualizations and dashboards using BI tools (e.g. Tableau) 
  • Planning and monitoring of resources to complete projects on time and on budget 
  • Assisting with program design and implementation 
  • Facilitating and monitoring the progress of projects and communicating progress to internal stakeholders 
  • Organizing and facilitating in-person meetings and conference calls with internal stakeholders 
  • Coordinating implementation activities between internal technical teams and consulting stakeholders
  • Supporting peers in adhering to all security and compliance requirements and other software-related company standards in the course of daily operations


Minimum qualifications: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in an energy-related discipline with environmental, electrical, information systems management or mechanical engineering preferred; or quantitative background 
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or graduate school
  • Exceptional attention to detail, including demonstrated ability to conduct detailed technical and quantitative analysis
  • Demonstrated commitment to and consistency in quality control practices 
  • Ability to work and thrive independently and juggle multiple competing priorities 
  • Excellent personal accountability 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills 
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 

Desired qualifications: 

  • Experience in energy efficiency, for example energy efficiency program implementation or engineering work with heat pumps
  • Experience in software or data configuration, including experience with information systems management or data analysis
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira or equivalent a plus
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or equivalent a plus 

Compensation is commensurate with experience between the pay bands of $78,000 - $90,000/Annually

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Office Locations and a Remote Workforce

Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in  six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team.
