Who You Are:

You are an objective investigator with experience handling employee investigations and concerns, navigating the performance management lifecycle, and a passion for providing coaching and counseling to both employees and leaders.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the Michael Kors Retail North America team, developing effective relationships with team members and people leaders to promote positive employee relations.
- Provide consultation, guidance, and coaching solutions to field teams to ensure the appropriate handling and resolution of employee relations issues and advise on policies and procedures.
- Conduct investigations in response to employee complaints, tracking cases through internal case management software.
- Recommend and approve performance management action plans in partnership with the legal department.
- Manage the disciplinary process for employees and administer corrective action in partnership with field leadership.
- Gather and analyze employee relations data and help to identify trends.
- Identify training and development needs to enhance employee experience and performance.
- Maintain compliance and understanding with federal and state regulations concerning employment practices.
- Conduct exit interviews of voluntary terminations; analyze trends and recommend solutions
- Produce reporting on exit interviews, hotline calls, and corrective action documents.
- Handle confidential information appropriately and escalate issues as needed.
- Support company-wide global HR initiatives.
- Assist in special projects when necessary.
You’ll Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-3 years of progressive HR experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, or related HR function
- Experience in handling employee relations issues and dealing with labor laws
- Knowledge and practical application of all HR discipline and practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflict.
- Ability to be analytical and problem solve
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- While there is a strong preference for candidates based in California, we will also consider qualified candidates in other key markets, including Texas, who are able to align with West Coast working hours.
