Astroscale U.S. Inc. is currently seeking an Embedded DevOps Engineer to join the team in our Denver, Colorado office. As part of the Software Platform Engineering team you will design and implement infrastructure solutions to enable the development, testing and deployment of software across spacecraft flight and ground systems.
- Own the design, implementation, deployment and maintenance of the infrastructure that enables the development, testing and deployment of all software at Astroscale U.S.
- Design and build cloud, on-prem and hybrid infrastructure solutions
- Enable rapid development, testing, and deployment of embedded software with world-class automation solutions
- Lead large initiatives from ideation to production
- Optimize infrastructure solutions for performance and cost
- Drive the improvement of software tooling and processes
- Rapidly prototype software and infrastructure to prove out design concepts
- Participate in design and development of hardware-in-the-loop systems
- Embody a culture of innovation, technical excellence and continuous improvement
- 2+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps or embedded software engineering roles
- Professional experience developing C++, C, Python or Rust
- Professional experience with Git, Docker and Linux
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure)
- Deep expertise with CI/CD tools and workflows including but not limited to Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Expertise with software build systems like CMake, Bazel and Conan
- Experience with network configuration and administration techniques across on-prem and cloud-hosted systems
- Experience with container orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes and related design patterns
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field

Salary range: $100,000 – $125,000. The salary range represents the low and high end of the Astroscale U.S. Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, knowledge, and ability as applicable to the role.
