Job Description

Position Summary

The Email & Marketing Automation Manager manages CDP and email marketing platforms across Aspen One brands. This role supports the development, execution, and ongoing refinement of multi-channel campaigns and automated journeys, with a particular focus on the Aspen Snowmass email strategy. The manager applies consumer behavioral, lifestyle, transactional, and demographic data to deliver relevant marketing programs across channels, aiming to strengthen retention, enhance the guest experience, and drive revenue and lifetime value. This position reports to the Director of Digital & Performance Marketing

The budgeted salary range for this position is $60,000 to &80,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage the CDP and marketing automation platform (Braze) to drive revenue growth and enhance personalization across Aspen One brands
  • Lead Aspen Snowmass email marketing, including strategy, planning and calendar, responsive design, segmentation and list management, deployment and scheduling, tracking, testing, and reporting
  • Execute automated, personalized multi-channel journeys (email, push, in-app messaging, SMS) to drive upsell and cross-sell, increase retention, and encourage year-round engagement
  • Support email programs and lifecycle journeys tailored to each vertical (ski, hospitality, retail), while also developing cross-brand journeys
  • Build new automated journeys aligned with retention and product strategies, managing strategy, planning, segmentation, triggers, dynamic content, deployment, tracking, testing, and reporting
  • Partner with business unit teams to design and implement campaigns that support BU-specific goals
  • Work with product and tech teams to integrate Braze with other platforms (POS, booking engines, loyalty programs)
  • Utilize first-party data to create high-value guest segments and ensure data best practices across all channels
  • Build out mobile communications strategy, including SMS and app push notifications
  • Develop and implement A/B testing strategies to optimize campaign performance
  • Analyze guest behavior, demographics, and product usage to extract insights and refine communications
  • Optimize lifecycle marketing, renewal, and retention efforts for lapsed guest journeys
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and stay current on Braze features and marketing automation trends
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing automation, CRM, or lifecycle marketing

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge of Braze integrations (e.g., Currents, Canvas, Liquid templating)
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS for email
  • Experience working in a CRM or CDP with hands-on segment creation, preferably with Lexer
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation, personalization, and journey mapping.
  • Experience working across multiple verticals or brands
  • Analytical mindset with experience using tools like Google Analytics 4, Looker, or Tableau
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Background in ski/resort, hospitality, or retail industries
  • Familiarity with loyalty programs and guest experience platforms

Additional Information

Work Environment & Physical Demands  

  • Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
  • No adverse or hazardous conditions
  • Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance
