YOUR MISSION

As an Electrical Engineer II, Radio Frequency (RF) at True Anomaly, you will build upon your foundational skills by supporting RF system design across our ground and space hardware. You will be responsible for RF components within an established architecture. You will contribute reliably to spacecraft communication programs, collaborate actively with your team and other subsystem teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, specify, and evaluate moderate-complexity RF components within the overall system architecture, with guidance as needed
  • Perform applicable analyses including link budgets, antenna pattern evaluations, compatibility, and others as needed.
  • Develop and execute test plans for RF modules; perform evaluations and data assessment
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, power, and thermal engineering teams; understand cross-discipline dependencies
  • Communicate proactively within the team on status, risks, and findings
  • Support documentation efforts for RF component designs and test results
  • Identify process improvements that contribute to team efficiency
  • Actively support peers and share knowledge across the team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in RF engineering for aerospace or related applications
  • Demonstrated ability to design or evaluate RF components such as LNAs, amplifiers, and passive networks
  • Experience performing link budget analysis and interpreting RF test data
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with RF simulation tools (MATLAB, HFSS, FEKO, CST, or similar)
  • Familiarity with space communication protocols (CCSDS or similar)
  • Exposure to EMI/EMC requirements and test methods
  • Experience in a startup or fast-paced engineering environment

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary:  Denver: $90,000 - $120,000 | Long Beach: $95,000 - $130,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave 

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Location—Successful candidates will be located near Denver, CO or Long Beach, CA.
  • Work environment—the work environment; temperature, noise level, inside or outside, or other factors that will affect the person's working conditions while performing the job.
  • Physical demands—the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
