The ELA Content Writer will be responsible for editing and designing digital curriculum products within the Kiddom platform as well as editing and designing additional supplemental resources. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that teacher and student-facing content are optimized for our digital platform.
We’re looking for someone who has a background in K-12 ELA teaching, instructional design, project management, and a willingness to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
You Will...
- Manually author/edit interactive question types using the Kiddom platform
- Author/edit supplemental resources aligned to existing curriculum
- Review content and provide Quality Assurance feedback
- Other assigned tasks as needed to meet project deadlines and deliverables
- Analyze and create content to align to state and national ELA standards
- Ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders regarding adjustments and progress.
- Continuously monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot and problem solve when situations do not align with usual processes
What we're looking for...
- 3-5 years of K-12 ELA classroom teaching experience
- Strong empathy for educators
- Passion for improving education equitably
- 2+ years of instructional design experience
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative problem solving
Hourly compensation range is dependent on geographic location, prior experience, seniority, and demonstrated role related ability during the interview process.
