We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Division VP, Business Development to lead our growth initiatives within the Financial Services sector. This critical role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with leading financial institutions. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the financial services industry, a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and the ability to build strong, long-lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the Financial Services division, aligning with TaskUs' overall growth objectives.
Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities within the financial services sector, including banking, capital markets, insurance, FinTech, and wealth management.
Client Acquisition: Support all stages of the sales process, maintaining sales control and guiding internal teams to collaborate and rally around development of innovative solutions to meet or exceed identified sales targets.
Market Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape within financial services to identify emerging opportunities and challenges.
Solution Selling: Collaborate with internal teams (solutions, operations, legal, etc.) to develop tailored proposals and solutions that address client needs and demonstrate tangible value.
Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers at target financial services organizations.
Thought Leadership: Represent TaskUs at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Reporting and Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management on an ongoing basis.
Qualifications:
Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in business development or sales leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years specifically focused on the financial services industry. Experience selling BPO solutions is a strong plus.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the financial services landscape, including key players, regulatory environments, technological trends, and common operational challenges.
Sales Acumen: Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and growing revenue within a complex B2B sales environment. Proven ability to initiate, develop and grow C-level and senior relationships within target client organizations, and influence purchase and buying decisions.
Executive Presence: Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and engage at the C-suite level.
Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with business objectives.
Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Travel: Ability to travel frequently (50% of the time) as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
