  • Maintain mechanical, printed circuit board (PCB), and printed circuit assembly (PCA) prototype and sustaining build schedules; confirm materials, approved stack-ups, programmable content, and special build instructions are ready before build start.
  • Coordinate BOM, drawing, and configuration changes with suppliers and contract manufacturers, including timely and secure transfer of controlled release data.
  • Serve as the primary coordination point across engineering teams, program managers, suppliers, and contract manufacturers; communicate status, dependencies, risks, decisions, and action items.
  • Support invoice readiness, return material authorization (RMA) activity, customs classifications, laboratory equipment acquisition, and quarter-end purchasing deliverables.
  • Develop and improve repeatable processes for documentation control, procurement, configuration management, supplier coordination, prototype builds, and sustaining execution.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in hardware project coordination, hardware program management, engineering operations, new product development, sustaining engineering, prototype operations, procurement, manufacturing operations, or a related engineering support role.
  • Working knowledge of bills of material (BOMs), part-number structures, engineering change orders, configuration management, purchasing workflows, material planning, and supplier management.
  • Experience coordinating prototype, pre-production, or sustaining hardware builds involving mechanical parts, electronic components, PCBs, or PCAs.
  • Ability to manage concurrent schedules, purchase activities, dependencies, risks, and deliverables in a fast-paced product-development and sustaining environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convert detailed program status into clear actions, decisions, and escalations.
  • Strong attention to detail in technical documentation, cost tracking, order reconciliation, data accuracy, and configuration control.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, program management, release management, finance, suppliers, and contract manufacturers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise storage, servers, networking products, data-center hardware, or other complex electromechanical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile PLM, Windchill PLM, SAP S/4, or another product lifecycle management or enterprise resource planning system.
  • Knowledge of PCB/PCA manufacturing, component sourcing, contract manufacturing, prototype material planning, and electronics hardware development processes.
  • Experience with engineering change orders, controlled technical data, build instructions, RMA workflows, customs classifications, or supplier agreements.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, project tracking tools, purchasing systems, and supplier performance reporting.
