Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place!

E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system that will fundamentally change the design, economics, manufacturing and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.

We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed to innovate space-based communications and deliver actionable intelligence that will expand global economies, protect space and our planet and enhance our overall quality of life.

What is the role:

E-Space is seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing, leading, and securing contracts with the US Government. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in defense contracts and space-related activities. This role involves identifying, shaping, and ultimately winning federal contracting opportunities, which are crucial for the growth and success of our organization. Reporting to the VP of Global Affairs, this position offers the flexibility of remote work across the United States.

What you will do:

  • Perform market research and monitor all available sources of information to determine customer preferences, competitive analysis and incumbent strengths and weaknesses to help define E-Space win strategies.
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop win strategy for specific opportunities.
  • Develop materials and read-ahead briefings to support customer meetings, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, win theme and discriminator workshops, proposal kickoff materials and proposal reviews.
  • Coordinate, contribute to, and manage RFI responses and white papers.
  • Read and analyze US Government solicitations, performing solicitation analysis for tasks and create proposal management plans.
  • Write and manage proposals, working across teams to include all volumes of the proposal as well as additional technical information as required.
  • Identify sales opportunities throughout the US Government beyond the DOD and USIC and coordinate with internal team members toward effective submission and capture of contracts.
  • Coordinate closely with the E-Space Government Affairs Team to ensure synchronization of policy advocacy and engagement with the US Legislative Branch, Agency Directors and Senior leadership.
  • Provide internal teams with regular updates on customer needs, opportunities for engagement and education, obstacles, and other relevant information to ensure synchronization of effort across E-Space activities.
  • Take ownership of E-Space’s US Government business development pipeline through closure.
  • Monitor all activities and opportunities. Provide regular and as-needed briefings on opportunities in review, in capture, in gate reviews, in the proposal drafting process, and post-submission.

What you bring to this role:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of professional experience working as a capture manager, business development manager, or proposal manager for US cleared defense contractors
  • 5+ years professional experience working capture for small or disadvantaged business concerns in the Federal space
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Knowledge of proposal management and business development best practices
  • Active clearance and DoD experience required
  • Experience with IT or related field preferred

Bonus points:

  • Individual demonstrated Federal government contract capture success
  • Experience with the Capture Process and capture management tools such as GovWin, SAM, FedBidSpeed, and others
  • Experience working on issues directly related to DOD and the Intelligence Community, or other agencies with space capabilities or responsibilities
  • Knowledge of space/satellite services industry
  • Knowledge of satellite systems and defense/Intelligence Community programs
  • Knowledge of U.S. federal contracting and acquisition practice

This is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Saratoga office.  The target base pay for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 annually.  The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities. If that’s your experience – then we’ll be immediately wow-ed.
