Job Description

The Director, Tax Planning & Special Projects is a key member of the corporate tax team and will work closely with the Vice President – Tax.  You will work collaboratively with tax team members and cross-functional teams on various initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax, finance, legal etc. to ensure alignment of tax planning strategies.
  • Support M&A activity from a tax perspective.
  • Research tax issues and prepare tax technical memorandum and documentation.
  • Assist with US tax reporting for international operations (GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Pillar Two).
  • Facilitate federal tax controversy.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with a combination of Big 4 public accounting and corporate experience preferred.
  • CPA or Masters in Tax is required.
  • Purchase Accounting experience is required.
  • International operations experience is preferred.
  • A proven track record with interpreting tax laws, technical documents and government regulations.
  • Experience interpreting and communicating technical tax issues to non-tax professionals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ASC 740 and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Experience in managing outside resources and budget-related issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems independently
