Job Overview:
TopDog Law is seeking a Director of Talent Strategy to design, implement, and oversee the administrative infrastructure that powers our recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and employee-support functions.
This leader will ensure that the systems, processes, and vendors that enable these functions operate smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the firm’s growth strategy. The Director will manage a team, including the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Benefits Coordinator, and Talent Sourcer.
Responsibilities:
Recruiting Administration & Process Design- Develop and maintain the operational framework for all recruiting activities, including ATS setup, requisition workflows, and documentation standards.
- Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies, offshore sourcing partners, and job board vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure cost-effective, compliant recruitment support.
- Create standardized templates, approval processes, and reporting dashboards to track key recruiting metrics.
- Ensure recruiting processes align with compliance, data privacy, and company policy.
- Design and manage structured onboarding processes in partnership with hiring managers, IT, and payroll.
- Oversee systems and checklists to ensure timely setup of new hires, completion of paperwork, and smooth integration.
- Coordinate departure activities including benefits termination, access removal, and exit documentation.
- Supervise the Benefits Coordinator in administering benefits programs, open enrollment, and broker relations.
- Partner with Finance and Payroll to ensure accurate pay runs and reconciliation of compensation data.
- Maintain data integrity across payroll and benefits systems while ensuring compliance with employment and tax regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships with payroll providers, benefits administrators, and technology partners.
- Administer the employee support ticket system to ensure quick, consistent, and high-quality responses to staff inquiries.
- Analyze support ticket data to identify trends and implement process or policy improvements.
- Maintain internal FAQs, guides, and employee knowledge bases to streamline employee support operations.
- Coordinate the annual merit and salary-review process in collaboration with Finance and department leaders.
- Conduct salary band analysis and market benchmarking to maintain competitive and equitable pay structures.
- Generate and maintain reporting on headcount, compensation changes, and related metrics.
- Oversee all systems related to recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and employee support.
- Collaborate with international call center vendors and outsourcing partners to develop and implement effective staffing strategies and scalable workforce solutions.
- Manage vendor renewals, SLAs, and system enhancements in collaboration with IT and Finance.
- Establish clear documentation and standard operating procedures to ensure scalability and consistency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in talent operations, recruiting administration, or related business systems management.
- Proven experience designing and scaling operational infrastructure in a growing organization.
- Strong understanding of payroll, benefits, and talent-related technologies (Rippling experience a plus).
- Experience collaborating with international call center vendors or outsourcing partners to develop and execute staffing strategies and workforce solutions preferred.
- Excellent vendor management, budgeting, and process improvement skills.
- Highly organized and analytical, with strong project management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate across Finance, IT, and departmental leadership.
