About us:
Blue Rose Research builds data and AI tools that help Democrats win elections. Our team combines engineering, data science, and political strategy to power decisions for the country’s top campaigns and progressive organizations. We forecast elections, test ads, and use generative AI to help campaigns understand what’s happening in the news; then respond fast with messages that actually work. We have guided how hundreds of millions of dollars are spent in modern campaigns. We’re a small, mission-driven team that builds fast, experiments boldly, and helps progressives communicate and win—guided by curiosity, purpose, and a genuine desire to use technology for good.

Responsibilities include:
- Own financial planning and forecasting: Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term models, including scenario planning across election and off-cycle environments.
- Drive pricing and revenue strategy: partner with product and client teams to model pricing, packaging, margin, and capacity tradeoffs across new and existing offerings.
- Build financial visibility and discipline: Monitor performance, improve cost and revenue categorization, and surface key risks, variances, and opportunities.
- Support strategic decision-making: Evaluate hiring, investment, and growth initiatives through rigorous financial analysis and clear tradeoff frameworks.
- Translate strategy into metrics: Define KPIs tied to growth, sustainability, and impact; turn organizational goals into measurable financial and operating targets.
- Serve as a cross-functional thought partner: Present clear financial narratives to leadership and key stakeholders, grounding big decisions in data and long-term sustainability.
- 8+ years in strategic finance, FP&A, consulting, banking, or a similar analytical role
- Proven experience building and owning financial models, forecasts, and scenario plans
- Strong business judgment and ability to translate analysis into clear decisions
- Comfortable partnering cross-functionally in fast-moving environments
- Clear, concise communicator who can explain complex concepts simply
