Job Summary

The Director, Sports Market Solutions leads go-to-market strategy for industry-specific solutions, focusing on the Sports market. This role drives innovation and execution to deliver scalable, differentiated solutions across Fan Engagement apps, Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) streaming, Sports Channel Origination, Playout, and Distribution, ultimately fueling customer success and business growth.
The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who has worked within a Sports team, league, or major rights holder, and who understands the full revenue ecosystem—from media rights and merchandising to sponsorship, licensing, and fan engagement.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities 

Product & Market Solution Strategy 

  • Define and own the long-term Sports market solution strategy across multiple product lines. 

  • Develop solution blueprints tailored to the unique needs of the Fan Engagement and D2C streaming Sports market. 

  • Align product vision with evolving market trends, customer demands, and business goals. 

  • Conduct market analysis and estimate addressable market size to inform strategic planning and investment decisions. 

  • Work with sub-component rate cards to simplify and define an overarching pricing framework for the solution. 

  • Partner with finance, product, and data teams to model business cases, define KPIs, and monitor campaign performance using real-time dashboards and reporting tools. 

  • Utilize data and analytics tools to track and interpret fan and consumer behavior across platforms, informing marketing strategies, content programming, and revenue growth initiatives. 

  • Lead the evaluation of marketing performance and return on investment (ROI) across broadcast, digital, and D2C initiatives, using data to refine future campaigns and monetization strategies. 

 

Portfolio & Technical Strategy 

  • Oversee solution roadmaps and ensure alignment across product engineering, sales, and marketing. 

  • Define and communicate the technical vision and architecture for the solution portfolio. 

Market & Industry Leadership 

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies. 

  • Be an expert on the competition and able to execute on market strategies to counter competition.    

  • Have the industry stature to effectively represent the company and its mission externall. 

  • Identifies, investigates, evaluates acquisitions/divestitures, licensing opportunities, and strategic business alliances that are in line with the organization's long-range goals. 

  • Represent the company in industry forums, analyst briefings, and strategic customer engagements. 

Solution Go-to-Market (GTM) 

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to define and execute GTM strategies. 

  • Develop technical sales collateral, reference architectures, and demo environments. 

  • Enable field teams and partners through training, workshops, and technical evangelism. 

  • Support strategic deals and customer acquisition through technical pre-sales leadership. 

Customer & Sales Engagement 

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor in customer meetings, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements. 

  • Engage in technical sales and enablement 

  • Drive partner co-innovation and solution integration initiatives. 

 

 

Must Have Qualifications 

  • 7+ years of experience in sports business and technology strategy —preferably within a Sports league, team, or major rights organization. 

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging data and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems, data visualization tools, or custom fan data environments) to inform strategy and optimize marketing performance. 

  • Proven success in managing or advising on broadcast and streaming revenue models. 

  • Deep understanding of sports merchandising, sponsorship, licensing, and brand integration strategies. 

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience in campaign ROI measurement, performance tracking, and audience segmentation. 

  • Exceptional relationship management, communication, and storytelling skills. 

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field; MBA or advanced analytics coursework preferred.

Compensation

Primary Location Pay Range: $155,912.39 - $233,868.58

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
