Position Overview: 

In this highly visible role, the Director of Senior Living for Medical Guardian will identify new business opportunities to drive revenue growth. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Senior Living & Channel Partners, the successful candidate will use business development and sales techniques to establish new accounts and foster valuable relationships across the Senior Living market, with a specific focus on Independent Living, and Assisted Living facilities/properties. The role will call on both REITS and operators. The Director of Senior Living will be instrumental in commercializing Medical Guardian’s new and enhanced alternative to pull-cord and life safety systems, as well as bringing PERS, RPM, and Engagement Services into communities across country.  

Scope of Responsibility: 

  • Develop and execute a Senior Living sales and business development strategy to achieve revenue targets by closing net new accounts 
  • Identify new sales and business development opportunities to accelerate sales pipeline growth in Senior Living, with a particular focus on large REITs and Commercial operators  
  • Provide clear pipeline reporting to ensure visibility across all deal opportunity stages, inclusive of key metrics and action plans to accelerate velocity  
  • Drive complex, multi-stage negotiations for new contracts from inception to close 
  • Identify key decision makers at property management and ownership organizations at Independent and Assisted Living facilities  
  • Use effective market segmentation strategies and data to drive prioritization of ideal target accounts  
  • Build and advance customer relationships at the executive-level and with other facilities management stakeholders   
  • Deploy enterprise relationship management strategies with large portfolio relationships   
  • Maintain awareness of relevant market trends and always seek insights from existing and prospective customers and prospects  
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional leaders to maximize Medical Guardian’s position, including direct efforts with the Marketing Team to accelerate lead volume  
  • Communicate synthesized market intelligence to various internal teams to help further accelerate growth efforts (e.g. Product)  
  • Strong steward of the Medical Guardian culture and brand internally and externally  
  • Other duties as assigned  

Performance and Success Measures:  

  • Quota-bearing role  
  • Sales pipeline cultivation and growth  
  • New Senior Living deals closed  
  • Net new recurring revenue contribution  
  • Impact on elevating Medical Guardian’s brand in the senior living market and development of new strategies to accelerate sales growth  

Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Strategic business development and consultative sales experience in Senior Living with a proven track record of results achieving quota  
  • Experience selling across Senior Living segments (i.e. Independent Living, Assisted Living, etc.) preferred  
  • Proven results appropriately deploying a “hunter” business development and sales approach balanced with subject matter expertise and agility to navigate complex contract negotiations  
  • Recognized as an industry advocate with established relationships in the Senior Living market  
  • Strong influencer and collaborator with robust negotiating skills and business acumen 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ownership and initiative to drive results  
  • Strong emotional intelligence, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and comfortable delivering presentations and engaging various health plan stakeholders, including C-level executives  
  • Proven ability to effectively respond to customer needs and translate insights into market opportunity to accelerate growth    
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and high-growth environment  
  • Passionate about Medical Guardian’s mission  
  • Willing to travel across the United States as needed
  •  Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
