We partner with leading brands and agencies to create incremental, brand-safe, high-intent advertising opportunities in the next major media channel.
Role
We are seeking a seasoned, entrepreneurial Director of Sales to evangelize and sell media opportunities in this exciting new channel. In this digital media sales role you will be focused on educating the market, prospecting new clients, and driving direct revenue from brands and agencies. The ideal candidate has a deep rolodex of agency and brand relationships, a proven ability to hunt and close new business, and the confidence to champion a new media category in the marketplace.
Responsibilities
Prospect, pitch, and close new business with brand and agency partners.
Own the full sales cycle (pipeline development, solution selling, negotiation, and close).
Evangelize the GenAI media category, clearly articulating ProRata’s differentiation and value to marketers.
Represent ProRata at client meetings, industry events, and thought leadership forums to grow awareness.
Partner with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure client success, renewals, and upsell.
Deliver market feedback to influence product roadmap, ad formats, and sales enablement.
Consistently exceed revenue targets with a focus on scalable, repeatable business growth.
Qualifications
7-10 years in digital media or AdTech sales with a record of exceeding targets at emerging platforms or high-growth startups.
Proven success selling new or category-defining media formats (e.g., programmatic, CTV, native, performance).
Deep relationships with decision-makers at agencies and brands; strength in performance and innovation budgets is a plus.
Skilled at educating clients and building confidence in non-traditional solutions.
Startup mindset: thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable with change.
Strong communicator and consultative seller with excellent presentation skills.
Passion for AI, media innovation, and performance-driven marketing.
Work Environment
Remote in CA, CO, IL, MD, NY, TX, or WA (NYC preferred). Employees are expected to have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup. Occasional travel (25%) to the office or to customers may be required.
Compensation
The compensation for this position will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It has a cash compensation of $300,000 -350,000 OTE (50/50 base variable) + equity.
