WHAT YOU’LL DO
In October 2026, Teach For America will bring 10,000 alumni, donors, partners, and community members together to drink from the well of inspiration, galvanizing action that will drive impact in each of our communities and across the country. The 35th Anniversary Summit (35AS) will serve as a catalyzing moment for the future of excellent education and for the Teach For America community and is being held in Las Vegas on October 2-3, 2026.
This role plays a critical function in ensuring that there are exhibitors, brand partners, and sponsors for this once in a decade experience, the 35th Anniversary Summit. You will work to build out a robust exhibitor and opportunities fair to be hosted at the convening in Las Vegas with a portfolio of entities both in and out of K12 education. You will create partnerships with high quality and recognizable brands and you will collaborate with members of the Development team to secure financial sponsorships for the convening.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Vice President, 35th Anniversary Summit, and partner with team members across the organization to reach your goals. This is an incredible opportunity to help shape an event that sets a new course for our future.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
The Director, Sales & Partnerships, 35th Anniversary Summit will be responsible for:
Initiating outreach and follow up communication to entities for exhibitor sales, brand partnership, and sponsorship opportunities (35%)
Developing and implementing participation structure for entities with exhibit sales, brand partnership, and sponsorship opportunities (25%)
Creating exhibitor space and experience including designing and organization of exhibitor and opportunities fair (20%)
Supporting Development team members in coordinated sponsorship activities efforts (10%)
Establishing and meeting aggressive weekly, monthly, and quarter revenue targets that enables measurement of individual performance (10%)
A WEEK IN THE LIFE
Over the course of any week, the Director, Sales & Partnerships, 35th Anniversary Summit will spend time:
Reaching out to entities for exhibitors, brand partners, and sponsors opportunities
Creating and implementing processes, routines, and systems for entities involved with exhibitor sales, brand partnership, and sponsorships
Supporting with exhibitor payments
Meeting with conference planner to map out exhibitor and opportunities fair space
Developing a strong relationship with key partners to ensure an excellent 35AS experience
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
MUST HAVES: Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role (minimum qualifications):
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of two years experience in event sales, exhibition sales, or corporate sponsorships Exceptional project management skills, with the demonstrated ability to achieve ambitious goals in the context of complex, multi-layered projects
Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including an ability to invest, influence and align senior leaders and stakeholders with diverse interests and ideas
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and management skills, including skill in creative and effective decision-making and problem identification/avoidance/resolution
An ability to lead (and thrive) in environments of change, ambiguity and uncertainty, demonstrating the sound judgment, flexibility, resourcefulness and maturity necessary
Deep belief in our mission and core values
Understanding of Teach For America
Knowledge of the education and education policy landscape
WORK DEMANDS
Ability to travel for team meetings, design sessions and other organizational engagements 4-5 times per quarter
Ability to travel for extended periods of time, including over weekends, and as the Summit nears
Ability to work long hours on the weeks and days leading to the Summit and during critical sprints of planning and execution

You will be managed by the VP, 35th Anniversary Summit and work closely with a group of leaders across the organization including Development team members to help drive revenue for the 35th Anniversary Summit. The team culture will be positive, data-driven, results-oriented, and work to make the 35th Anniversary Summit a catalyzing moment for the future of excellent education in our country and for the Teach For America community.
YOUR COMPENSATION
The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. The expected salary range for this role are set forth below. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Tier A: $71,400 - $92,200
Tier B: $77,900 - $100,400
Tier C: $84,300 - $108,700
