This critical role is responsible for owning the global technology roadmap and process governance for sales content at Salesforce. As the Director, Sales Content Strategy & Technology, you'll define the strategic roadmap for sales content technology, prioritizing features that directly drive seller productivity, performance, and ultimately deliver business impact.
This role serves as a crucial bridge between content strategy, technology, and governance, fostering a seamless and highly efficient content ecosystem for the sales organization. It demands a strong understanding of content management systems (CMS), artificial intelligence (AI), data governance principles, and emerging technologies, coupled with proven delivery and execution skills within a large, complex organization. You'll partner closely with senior leadership across IT, Content Publishers, and Change and Enablement to ensure the content ecosystem directly supports the company's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Define and Own the Technology Roadmap: Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap for sales content, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and long-term strategic goals. Prioritize technology investments that demonstrably enhance content creation, distribution, and consumption, driving quantifiable improvements in seller effectiveness.
Drive Business Impact & Delivery: Translate content strategy and technology initiatives into measurable business outcomes. Identify opportunities for content to directly influence sales cycles, customer engagement, and revenue generation. Establish clear metrics to track and report on the business impact of content initiatives. Utilize data-driven insights to inform future content and technology investments.
Develop and Implement Content Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive content strategy that is deeply integrated with business and technology goals. This includes leveraging tools and capabilities such as search optimization, AI-powered agents, streamlined content publishing workflows, automation, and advanced content analytics to maximize content reach and effectiveness.
Enforce Robust Content Governance: Partner with content owners and governance teams to maintain a best-in-class content governance model, including policies, standards, and workflows, to ensure consistency, quality, and legal compliance across all sales content. Adapt the model to cater to varying levels of maturity across diverse business units, serving as the Global Business Process owner for content management.
Collaborate Strategically with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with a wide range of teams, including Content Owners, Global Business Growth and Automation PMO, IT, and Tech & Product, to ensure seamless integration and adoption of content solutions. You'll also manage a team of business analysts to execute on business requirements and delivery motions.
Lead and Mentor High-Performing Teams: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals involved in content strategy, governance, and technology implementation, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Desired Skills and Experience:
10+ years of experience with strategic planning, product roadmaps, process improvement, and business strategy.
Experience with Salesforce products and ecosystem within a large enterprise.
Deep knowledge of AI, natural language processing, and advanced search capabilities.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with, and influence, a broad range of senior stakeholders across diverse functions.
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing technology roadmaps and translating them into tangible business outcomes.
Experience in digital content management technology strategy.
