As the Director of Sales, Biologics (Regeneten) you will lead regional performance, accelerate growth, and build a high-impact sales organization. Reporting to the RVP, this role owns revenue, profitability, and execution across a $10M+ territory.

What You’ll DoDeliver Results- Own and exceed regional targets across revenue, growth, and profitability
- Drive execution of sales strategy through a team of 12+ sales professionals
- Lead accurate forecasting and business planning
- Actively manage key accounts and strategic partnerships
- Recruit, coach, and retain a high-performing sales team
- Conduct weekly field visits to drive performance and accountability
- Set clear objectives and elevate team capability through ongoing development
- Identify and grow future leaders
- Build and execute the annual business plan
- Optimize pricing, discounting, and financial programs
- Deliver insights on market trends, competition, and customer needs
- Align resources to maximize regional growth opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and healthcare standards
- Manage inventory, consignment, and capital placement effectiveness
- Leverage Smith & Nephew financing solutions to support customer success
- 8–12 years of medical device sales experience, including leadership roles
- Proven track record of exceeding quotas and leading high-performing teams
- Experience managing $10M+ territories and teams of 12+ direct reports
- Strong business acumen, especially in deal profitability and forecasting
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Deep understanding of sales strategy and competitive positioning
- Adaptability and a hands-on leadership style
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Ability to travel weekly (minimum 1 field visit per week) with overnight travel as needed
- Must meet healthcare credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 compliance
Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel 50%+ of the time, including overnight stays, to support customer needs and team development
All field sales professionals who are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform the basic remit of their role must successfully complete the credentialing process and comply with the requirements of those facilities they support, which can include adherence to any established vaccine protocols.
The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $125,000-150,000 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible for sales commission and incentives based on set targets. The commission earned will depend on the candidate’s performance in the role.
