Position Description

We're seeking a Director of Quality Assurance to take over our QA department and shepherd world-class quality standards for our LenderAI SaaS platform. This is a unique opportunity to lead  and grow a distributed QA Community of Practice across many engineering teams while ensuring our banking clients receive flawless software that handles billions in loan transactions.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Strategic Leadership

• Lead a QA Community of Practice across 20+ QA professionals embedded in engineering teams
• Partner with Directors of Product, Engineering, UX, and DevOps to drive quality initiatives
• Develop and guide comprehensive QA standards, processes, and documentation
• Build and maintain regression testing suites to automate testing predeployment
• Implement real-time monitoring and dashboarding for production system health
  Operational Excellence
• Think like our bank clients and their end users to identify operational gaps that technical teams miss
• Advocate for quality while balancing business needs and weekly release cycles
• Exercise authority to roadblock production releases when quality standards aren't met
• Drive the evolution from manual to automated testing across the organization
• Mentor and develop QA talent, creating clear career progression paths 
  Team Building & Management
• Train existing manual QA staff in automation techniques and tools
• Foster collaboration between QA and product/engineering teams in a matrix organization
• Advocate for QA budget needs including tools, training, and headcount
• Hire, develop, and manage QA professionals across multiple teams

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Essential Experience

• 5+ years in leadership roles managing distributed teams and complex projects
• Banking, finance, or fintech industry experience with understanding of regulatory requirements
• Proven track record of implementing QA processes in fast-paced, agile environments
• Experience with weekly or frequent release cycles
• Strong background in both manual and automated testing methodologies
  Leadership Qualities
• Self-organizing, self-directing, and self-correcting work style
• Strong advocacy skills to communicate quality needs to executive leadership
• Deep understanding of how non-technical users interact with complex software
• Ability to identify operational gaps that impact end-user experience
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and process improvement
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and agile methodologies

• Experience mentoring and developing technical talent
• Exceptional planning skills with ability to anticipate and prepare for challenges
• Ability to lead through influence and example rather than authority alone

The anticipated salary range for this position is $160,000 - $250,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. iBusiness Funding provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.
