We’re looking for an experienced Director of Product to lead the vision, development, and commercial success of two related platform products:

An SMB-focused platform for delivering and managing internal training.

An external training platform designed to help organisations deliver scalable programmes to customers, partners, and wider audiences.
Both products share a common technology foundation, enabling us to serve different markets with agility while maintaining consistency, efficiency, and innovation.
A critical focus for this role is driving the continuous development and integration of AI functionality across both platforms—ensuring we deliver intelligent, adaptive, and high-value experiences for our customers.
This is a high-impact role spanning product strategy, technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and commercial enablement. You’ll manage a small team of product managers and a product designer, and work closely with our UK- and US-based teams across engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure both platforms deliver long-term value for our customers and our business.

What you will be doing
Roles and responsibilities include:
Strategy & Vision

Define and evolve the long-term vision and roadmap for both platforms, ensuring clear differentiation in target markets while maximising shared technology and capabilities.

Drive the integration of AI capabilities into both products to enhance user experience, efficiency, and learning outcomes.
-
Translate product strategy into measurable outcomes with tangible business and user value.
-
Shape strategic bets, anticipate customer and market needs, and guide investment decisions.

Partner with the Chief Product Officer to shape the overall product portfolio and company-wide priorities.
-
Collaborate with product peers to ensure coherence across the wider portfolio, including shared experience design, user journeys, and platform capabilities.

Represent the product function within the Senior Leadership Team, as needed.
Leadership & Execution
-
Manage, coach, and develop a small team of product managers and a designer, fostering high performance and professional growth.
-
Co-manage the development team with the product’s Engineering Director, jointly owning delivery of both product roadmaps, team ways of working, and day-to-day execution.

Own the budget and supplier relationships for both platforms; ensure delivery is on time, on budget, and aligned with agreed outcomes.

Establish commercial KPIs for each platform and maintain visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies.
Go-to-Market & Customer Support

Work closely with marketing, sales, customer education, and CS teams to define and deliver tailored go-to-market strategies for each platform.

Act as a visible customer and product expert—supporting sales in high-value opportunities, resolving complex issues, and shaping solution design.

Equip customer-facing teams with clear narratives, demos, and enablement materials tailored to each platform.

Represent the platforms in customer engagements and at external events as a subject matter expert and product champion.
Growth & Corporate Development

Take an active role in identifying, evaluating, and integrating acquisitions that strengthen or extend our platform capabilities.

Assess product fit, technical integration, and commercial viability of M&A opportunities.

Lead post-acquisition product integration where relevant, ensuring alignment with platform strategy.
Influence & Visibility

Provide regular updates to the executive team and board on platform performance, strategic priorities, and risk.

Build trusted relationships across the organisation to align priorities, balance trade-offs, and evangelise platform thinking.

Stay current on technology trends (e.g. AI in learning, developer platforms, API ecosystems) and bring external insight into decision-making.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
-
Proven experience: You will have extensive product management experience, including significant time in platform, infrastructure, or technical product roles.
-
AI expertise: You will have developed AI functionality and/or AI-powered products, taking them from concept through launch and iteration.

Leadership and commercial acumen: You will have managed and developed teams (ideally including product managers and designers) while enabling sales and customer success teams and driving go-to-market planning.

Product and technical leadership: You will have led multiple products or product lines with shared technology foundations, working closely with cross-functional delivery teams and engineering partners.

Influencing ability: You will have communicated and influenced effectively across executive, technical, and customer stakeholders.

Operational management: You will have managed budgets, vendors, and platform operating models to ensure scalability and efficiency.
Whilst not essential, it would be beneficial to have the following:

Familiarity with integrating acquisitions.

Background in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology preferred.
