About the Role.
The Director of Product will lead the vision, development, and execution of innovative products that enhance and create personalization in employee benefits. This role requires a dynamic leader who can bridge the gap between market needs, business objectives, and technical capabilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that align with the company's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy: Contribute to the overall product vision by working with product managers, development leadership, and executive leadership. Help define and manage execution of the product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with client needs, company goals and market trends.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Partner with Dev Management on Execution and Delivery: Team up with development leadership to collaborate on planning and standardization of product & development processes. Also, Support development leads around SSDLC processes where required.
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth analysis of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
- Customer Advocacy: Champion the voice of the customer in collaboration with Sales and Relationship Management Leadership, leveraging feedback to drive product enhancements and ensure user satisfaction.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor (KPIs) to measure product success and inform strategic decisions.
- Design Collaboration: Lead relationship with product UI/UX designers to balance growth enablement and a stable, consistent user experience.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products in the benefits or related industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
- Experience working with global engineering teams and team members
- Demonstrated expertise in JIRA.
- This is a hybrid role, with one day in our Denver office.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the benefits industry or marketplace product leadership
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the benefits industry is a plus.
- System Proficiency: Power BI Experience, analytics tools (eg. MixPanel), Figma
