Lead the consolidation of Teamworks' platform by creating a unified technical foundation, establishing integration standards, and collaborating with engineering teams to empower product development and enhance user experience.
The summary above was generated by AI

Teamworks, the Operating System for Sports™, powers more than 6,500 sports organizations worldwide, including collegiate athletic departments and teams across all major professional leagues. With almost 500 exceptional employees located in over a dozen different countries, Teamworks’ software solutions drive the operations of the most recognizable sports properties in the world.

We are seeking a transformational platform product leader to unify Teamworks’ multi-product environment into a single, modern operating system. In this role, you’ll guide the architecture, standards, and shared services that connect our products, accelerate engineering velocity, and unlock cross-product opportunities across the organization.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a highly visible, high-leverage role where your work will directly influence company-wide architecture, empower dozens of teams, and shape how athletes, coaches, and organizations experience Teamworks for years to come.

Game Plan - How You'll Drive Impact:
  • Lead Platform Consolidation: Drive the creation of Teamworks’ unified technical foundation, including a centralized identity system, shared schemas, common design system, and reusable APIs to unify our multi-product ecosystem.
  • Accelerate Unified Mobile App & Unified Web Execution: Partner across Product and Engineering to stabilize the UMA rollout and define a durable unified web strategy that enables shared components, frameworks, and long-term governance.
  • Build Cross-Product Integration Standards: Establish platform-wide patterns for Product-to-Product APIs, service contracts, integration governance, documentation, and the elimination of one-off approaches.
  • Enable New Product Capabilities: Ensure emerging products can build rapidly on a shared platform, supporting unified data, strong service ownership, and seamless frontend and backend integration.
  • Architect AI Infrastructure: Partner with Intelligence and AI teams to develop scalable data pipelines, feature stores, ML Ops foundations, and inference patterns that unlock model-driven features across the ecosystem.
  • Ship a Robust API Platform: Deliver a unified API gateway with consistent authentication, rate limiting, observability, and source-of-truth domain ownership that powers both internal and third-party integrations.
Player Profile - What You Bring to the Team:
  • Software & Product Background: 8+ years in software/product development, ideally in growth-stage or late-stage startups
  • Proven Platform Leadership: 5+ years leading platform, shared services, data, or API product teams in B2B SaaS, with a track record of centralizing capabilities across autonomous teams.
  • Leadership & Influence: 5+ years managing Product Managers and building high-performing technical product organizations. Demonstrated success driving adoption of platform services across teams by building trust, credibility, and alignment.
  • Technical Fluency: Deep understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, streaming/ETL pipelines, microservices, and API/service contract design (REST/GraphQL).
  • Strategic Product Thinking: Ability to translate business needs into platform roadmaps, define source-of-truth ownership, and tie infrastructure investments to measurable business outcomes.
  • Systems Integration: Experience unifying acquired products, consolidating redundant systems, and bringing data and services together into a cohesive platform.
The Ideal Recruit - Skills & Experience:
  • Platform product leadership in multi-product B2B SaaS environments
  • Expertise with distributed systems, APIs, data layers, and cross-product infrastructure
  • Experience driving platform adoption across autonomous teams
  • Proven capability to support large-scale, high-growth architectural initiatives
  • Systems integration and unification experience (e.g., M&A consolidation)
  • Startup-ready mindset: action-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, bias toward velocity
Champion Mindset - Traits for Success:
  • Ability to design for reusability, scale, and extensibility while knowing when to centralize vs. decentralize.
  • Trusted by engineers; able to review architecture, debug complex problems, and engage deeply with technical leaders.
  • Connects platform investments to company-level priorities, growth opportunities, and cross-product acceleration.
  • Builds trust, alignment, and shared purpose across Product, Engineering, and GMs
  • Develops strong teams, raises the bar, gives clear feedback, and builds high-performance environments.
  • Thrives in a cross-functional, integrated environment; removes friction, creates clarity, and drives outcomes.
  • Aligned with our core values: honesty, humility, hard work, commitment, innovation, and exceptionalism.
