About Us:
ChowNow is one of the leading players in off-premise restaurant technology. As takeout becomes a vital revenue stream for independent restaurants, our platform helps owners focus on what they do best—serving great food—by offering solutions across the entire digital dining experience. From building branded websites and mobile apps, to powering online orders, managing menus, consolidating delivery, and running targeted marketing, we give restaurants the tools to grow on their own terms.

We support over 20,000 restaurants across North America, helping process $1B+ in gross food sales while saving our partners over $700M in third-party commission fees. Through our white-label ordering solutions, a growing demand network (including Google, Yelp, Apple, and Snap), and a diner-friendly marketplace, we empower independent restaurants to own their customer relationships and avoid inflated pricing and fees charged by 3rd party delivery apps like Uber and Doordash.

Founded in 2012, we’ve navigated rapid growth and transformation—from startup roots through the pandemic boom—and are now beginning an exciting new era under our CEO, Kanika Soni. As we evolve with new leadership and cutting-edge tools, we’re deepening our commitment to helping local restaurants thrive in the digital economy.

About the Position:
As Director of Product Marketing, you'll lead and evolve the product marketing function at ChowNow during a transformational moment in the company's evolution. Under new CEO leadership, we're reimagining how we bring products to market and accelerate value delivery to restaurants. You'll be the strategic bridge between Product, Growth Marketing, and Sales, elevating the frameworks, processes, and team capabilities that enable world-class launches while directly influencing product strategy through customer insights.

This is a rare opportunity to take product marketing to the next level at a mission-driven company processing $2B+ in annual transactions. You'll refine how we position products to dual audiences (restaurant owners and diners), mature our go-to-market playbooks that drive adoption, and strengthen the voice of customer feedback loops that inform product roadmap decisions.

You'll report directly to the Senior Vice President of Product. Will directly manage a team of 2-3.

This is a remote role based in the United States. Please note: ChowNow is not eligible to employ in every state and the recruiting team will confirm location and eligibility before moving past initial stages.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT YOU:

You put restaurants first. You deeply understand the importance of local restaurants and put them at the center of everything you do. You aim to help them not only survive but thrive.

You celebrate diversity. You recognize that diversity and inclusivity matter. You’re committed to progress, which means everyone gets the support and resources they need, no matter who they are.  You have an ability to listen to other team members' ideas and can thrive in an environment that embraces individuality. Everyone’s voice counts.

You raise your hand. You consistently go above and beyond what is asked of you. You help your peers accomplish their tasks while also excelling at accomplishing your own. When you have a smart idea, you raise your hand and share it.

You keep reaching. You set clear ambitious goals. You don’t allow yourself to become complacent with where you’re at and what you’ve done, so you seek out new opportunities and challenges.

Specifically You Will:

  • Lead and scale the team: Manage and develop the product marketing function at ChowNow, building team capabilities, establishing best practices, and hiring talent to meet the demands of our next phase of growth
  • Drive market intelligence and customer research: Conduct deep market analysis to understand customer needs, pain points, and buying behaviors, synthesizing insights from customer interviews, competitive analysis, and market trends to inform product strategy
  • Own product positioning and messaging: Craft compelling value propositions that differentiate our products in the market, developing clear messaging frameworks that articulate why our products matter, who they're for, and how they're uniquely positioned against competitors
  • Lead go-to-market strategy and launch execution: Orchestrate product launches by developing comprehensive GTM plans that coordinate across sales, marketing, customer success, and product teams, defining target segments, pricing strategies, and success metrics
  • Enable sales and internal education: Equip sales teams with the tools, training, and content needed to effectively sell products, creating battle cards, demo scripts, competitive intelligence briefs, and conducting regular training sessions
  • Drive product adoption and growth initiatives: Drive user adoption through targeted campaigns, onboarding programs, and feature education, analyzing usage data to identify expansion opportunities and develop strategies that increase customer lifetime value

You Should Apply If You:

  • Are a proven product marketing leader: You have 7+ years in B2C and/or B2B product marketing at technology or platform companies, including 4+ years building and leading high-performing teams. You've scaled product marketing functions, established frameworks that enable great launches, and know how to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
  • Turn insights into compelling narratives: You're deeply research-driven, leading customer research programs and competitive analysis that uncover real insights. You then translate those insights into crisp, benefit-driven stories that differentiate products and resonate with audiences. You're a natural storyteller who makes complex capabilities feel simple and valuable.
  • Excel with both B2B and B2C audiences: You understand the nuances of marketing to SMB buyers (restaurant owners making business decisions) and consumers (diners choosing where to order). You can craft positioning that works across both segments or tailor it precisely when needed, navigating the complexity of dual audiences with ease.
  • Are a cross-functional leader and influencer: You've orchestrated successful product launches across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams. You know how to influence without authority, build consensus across functions, and drive alignment even when priorities compete. You're the connective tissue that makes GTM execution seamless.
  • Are operationally rigorous: You build repeatable processes, establish clear metrics, and continuously optimize based on data. You create frameworks that scale, track what matters, and aren't satisfied until you see measurable impact. You bring discipline and rigor to the art of product marketing.
  • Are passionate about SMB and mission-driven work: You genuinely care about helping small businesses compete and thrive. You're excited to work on products that make a tangible difference in local communities, and you bring authentic enthusiasm for empowering independent restaurants to own their customer relationships and succeed on their own terms.

About Our Benefits:

  • Expected On Target Earnings (OTE): $182,000- $236,000 (depending on candidate experience and location)
  • Ongoing training and growth opportunities.
  • A "Best Place to Work" winner multiple times where we focus on creating a great employee experience.
