Vultr is looking for an experienced and visionary Director, Product Marketing to lead the go-to-market strategy and execution for our cloud infrastructure products. This role is pivotal in shaping our product positioning, pricing, and packaging, and in driving successful product launches from inception through execution. The Director, Product Marketing will own the marketing propositions, sales enablement content, and overall market strategy for Vultr’s portfolio, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.
What to Expect:
- Lead the development of go-to-market strategies for new and existing cloud infrastructure and managed platform services, from concept through launch and ongoing adoption.
- Partner closely with the cross-functional executive team to define and execute pricing and packaging strategies that maximize customer acquisition, revenue growth, and retention.
- Oversee the creation of competitive positioning, messaging frameworks, and value propositions that clearly differentiate Vultr in the market.
- Direct the development of sales enablement materials, including sales language, product sheets, battle cards, and training resources.
- Define, track, and measure pricing performance, providing actionable insights to drive margin improvements and market share growth.
- Create and oversee models and dashboards to predict the impact of pricing and packaging decisions on customer acquisition, revenue, and usage.
- Manage all product and pricing information across marketing channels, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand and product strategy.
- Lead the development of promotional pricing strategies, tracking performance across all customer segments and regions.
- Deliver pricing and competitive analysis for public website content, sales engagements, and partner enablement.
- Establish product and pricing benchmark strategies to inform strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing product marketing team to support Vultr’s growth objectives.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure fundamentals, market dynamics, and competitive pricing models.
- Proven track record (8+ years) in product marketing or related strategic roles, with at least 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience successfully launching and scaling technology products from inception to market adoption.
- Strong background in pricing research, financial modeling, and competitive analysis, ideally in the cloud infrastructure (IaaS) industry.
- Proficiency in business intelligence dashboard development (Microsoft Power BI preferred) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience conducting both quantitative and qualitative market research, including large-scale surveys and customer interviews.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional executive stakeholders and drive alignment on go-to-market strategies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and inspire a high-performance team.
Compensation
$150,000 - $190,000 + bonus
This salary can vary based on location, years of experience, background and skill set.
