FMX is looking for a strategic, execution-minded Director of Product Marketing to lead our product marketing function and serve as the connective tissue across product, engineering, sales, and demand generation. In this role, you'll set the vision for how FMX communicates complex platform value to the market while managing and developing a team of product marketing managers. You'll partner with leaders across the go-to-market and product organizations to make sure positioning, technical feature launches, and enablement translate directly into pipeline and revenue.

Responsibilities:
As the Director of Product Marketing, you will:

  • Own the strategic direction for product marketing, establishing product positioning, technical messaging, and launch frameworks that align product, sales, and marketing around one go-to-market motion.
  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of product marketing managers, building a technical PMM function that scales alongside FMX's platform roadmap and growth goals.
  • Serve as the primary connector between Product, Engineering, Sales, and Demand Generation, ensuring GTM plans have clear ownership, timelines, and shared accountability across teams.
  • Lead market research into FMX’s target segments to define our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), build technical buyer personas (including facilities, operations, and IT leaders), perform Total Addressable Market (TAM) analysis, and provide targeting guidance for our GTM teams.
  • Set the standard for how FMX plans and executes go-to-market launches for core platform capabilities and integrations, from early positioning through post-launch product adoption and retention.
  • Direct ongoing competitive analysis, feature benchmarking, and market research to sharpen FMX's technical differentiation and inform product and sales strategy at the leadership level.
  • Ensure the sales organization has the technical messaging, collateral (like feature deep-dives, architecture overviews, and battlecards), and training needed to sell confidently, and measure enablement's impact on win rates and deal velocity.
  • Represent product marketing in leadership conversations, translating technical product insights, user feedback, and market dynamics into clear, confident recommendations for the executive team.
  • Define and report on KPIs that connect product marketing activity to feature usage, pipeline, revenue, and retention outcomes.

Requirements
  • Preferred Experience & Qualities:
10+ years in product marketing, including 5+ years leading or managing a product marketing team, preferably in B2B SaaS handling complex software or technical platforms.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical capabilities, architecture, and integrations into clear value propositions for both business decision-makers and technical buyers (e.g., IT, operations).
  • Familiarity with facilities management, education, or government is a plus.
  • A confident, assertive communicator who can influence senior stakeholders and represent product marketing at the leadership table and with strategic prospects and customers.
  • A track record of moving quickly from strategy to execution and driving urgency across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience hiring, coaching, and developing product marketers into strong strategic partners with deep product fluency.
  • Able to synthesize market, competitive, and product data into a clear point of view that shapes company strategy and product roadmaps.
  • A track record of building trust and alignment across product, engineering, sales, and marketing leadership.
  • Demonstrated success tracking and driving product marketing impact across both pipeline/revenue metrics and product metrics (e.g., feature adoption, usage retention).
  • A match with our core pillars: Teamwork, Excellence and Integrity.
