About MacroHealth:
MacroHealth is a healthcare technology company that operates an intelligent marketplace platform purpose-built to bring transparency, control, and strategic intelligence to healthcare purchasing. The MacroHealth Marketplace Platform connects Payers — including health plans, third-party administrators, and brokers — with a curated ecosystem of Health Market Partners such as provider networks, specialty networks, pharmacy benefit managers, and payment integrity solutions.
Through data-driven tools for network optimization, provider search, price transparency, and performance analytics, MacroHealth helps payers design smarter benefit strategies, reduce total cost of care, and meet compliance requirements — all through a single point of integration.
Serving 300+ enterprise clients and 7.2 million members, MacroHealth delivers an average 6–8% reduction in total cost of care and a 4:1 return on investment. With offices in the U.S. and Canada, MacroHealth is a mission-driven company focused on making the healthcare ecosystem more connected, efficient, and transparent.
About the Role:
MacroHealth is looking for a Director of Product Marketing to help shape go-to-market strategy across our full Marketplace Platform portfolio in close partnership with Commercial and Product leadership. This is a true player-coach role for a leader who can bring portfolio-level market perspective, develop and guide a product marketing team, and still roll up their sleeves to shape a launch plan, sharpen positioning, or improve the sales story.
You will manage and develop our Product Marketing Manager, serve as the primary product marketing partner to Product, Sales, and Account Management leadership, and be the connective tissue between the product roadmap and how MacroHealth shows up in market.
This is a high-visibility role reporting to the VP of Marketing, with regular exposure to Executive and cross-functional leadership as MacroHealth scales its go-to-market motion.
What You'll Own:
- Lead go-to-market (GTM) strategy across MacroHealth's full portfolio in partnership with Commercial and Product leadership, ensuring a cohesive product narrative across the Marketplace Platform.
- Lead and develop MacroHealth's Product Marketing function, managing and coaching a Product Marketing Manager while building the team's playbooks, processes, and capabilities.
- Partner with Product, Sales, Account Management, and Executive leadership to shape product direction and translate the roadmap into market-ready positioning and messaging.
- Own competitive and market intelligence, anticipating market shifts and proactively adjusting strategy to stay ahead of competitors and surface differentiation for Sales.
- Evaluate new market segments and expansion opportunities across the portfolio, informing where MacroHealth should extend its go-to-market focus next.
- Lead end-to-end GTM launch planning and execution for new products and major product enhancements, from strategy through cross-functional rollout and post-launch measurement.
- Build and scale Sales enablement to increase win rates and improve buyer conversations.
- Support pricing and packaging strategy in partnership with Finance, Product, and Executive leadership, providing market and competitive input to inform decisions.
- Bring market and competitive insight directly into product investment and roadmap conversations with Executive leadership, helping shape where MacroHealth invests next.
- Drive customer engagement and advocacy, identifying customer champions, developing case studies and success stories, and creating peer-to-peer proof points that strengthen our GTM narrative.
- Oversee the development of high-impact product marketing content and storytelling—presentations, brochures, case studies, webinars, and thought leadership—that supports both launch and always-on demand.
- Build an AI-enabled product marketing practice—embedding AI into research, content, and workflows so a lean team consistently drives the velocity and impact of a much larger one.
- Define and report on product marketing KPIs, using data to connect launch and enablement efforts to pipeline, win rate, and revenue outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for a product marketing leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on, builder's mindset. You know how to influence GTM strategy at the portfolio level in partnership with Commercial and Product, and you also know how to develop the people and craft behind it—you've led teams, and you still know how to write the launch deck yourself.
Experience & Background:
- 10+ years of experience across B2B marketing, product, or commercial roles, including 5+ years specifically in B2B product marketing.
- 5+ years healthcare or health tech industry experience required; experience marketing to health plans, payers, TPAs, or benefits brokers is a strong plus.
- People management experience strongly preferred—proven ability to lead, coach, and develop product marketing talent.
- Experience partnering with Executive, Product, Sales, and Finance stakeholders to shape go-to-market and pricing decisions.
- BA/BS required; MBA preferred.
Skills & Mindset:
- Strategic product marketing leader—equally comfortable influencing portfolio-level GTM strategy with cross-functional partners and rolling up sleeves on a collateral piece.
- Thrives in ambiguity—comfortable setting direction and making progress even when the roadmap or org is still taking shape.
- Builds influence without authority—earns alignment across Executive, Product, Sales, Account Management, and Finance without owning any of those functions outright.
- Genuine curiosity about the buyer and customer experience—grounds positioning, competitive strategy, and advocacy work in real customer perspective.
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills—able to craft compelling narratives and distill complex technical and market concepts for a variety of audiences.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills—comfortable turning market data and performance metrics into actionable strategy.
- AI-native and tool-forward—actively uses AI tools such as Claude to move faster, work smarter, and do more with a lean team.
- Highly organized and self-directed—manages multiple concurrent launches and priorities without dropping the ball.
Compensation:
- $200,000-$230,000 annual base salary plus bonus, equity, 401k match, flexible PTO and medical/dental/vision insurance.
- A people-first culture where your work directly shapes how employees experience the company.
- The opportunity to blend technology, compliance, and human connection.
- A mandate — not just permission — to experiment with and implement AI, with real influence over how we evolve our tools and ways of working.
- A chance to experiment with AI and automation to elevate efficiency and insight.
- Collaborative team that believes in continuous improvement.
- Direct impact on strategic growth and enterprise value creation.
- Executive-level visibility and influence.
- Opportunity to architect and build at scale.
- Competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus, equity, comprehensive benefits, and flexible work options.
- Mission-driven culture modernizing healthcare.
