The Director of Product Marketing leads the strategy and execution of all product marketing efforts to drive market positioning, go-to-market success, and customer adoption. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping the narrative around the company’s products, enabling the Sales team, and ensuring a cohesive strategy that connects Product, Marketing, and Sales. This position is tightly tied to customer needs and voice. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a proven track record in B2B SaaS, excels in team leadership, and has deep expertise in market positioning and competitive differentiation.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and own the global product marketing strategy, aligning with corporate goals and market opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies for product launches, expansions, and enhancements.
- Build and lead a high-performing product marketing team, fostering professional growth and accountability.
Positioning & Messaging:
- Establish and refine product positioning and messaging to differentiate in competitive markets.
- Develop a unified narrative that resonates with target personas and industries.
- Create messaging frameworks and ensure consistency in messaging across all marketing, sales, and product communications.
Sales Enablement:
- Lead the creation of sales enablement tools, such as battle cards, playbooks, and pitch decks.
- Partner with Sales leadership to identify and address knowledge gaps, delivering impactful training sessions.
- Track and optimize the effectiveness of sales tools and resources.
Market & Competitive Analysis:
- Lead efforts to monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and customer feedback.
- Provide strategic insights to influence product development, pricing, and positioning.
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and industry challenges to inform marketing strategies.
Customer Advocacy & Insights:
- Drive customer advocacy programs, including case studies, testimonials, and speaking engagements.
- Partner with Customer Success and Product teams to gather customer insights that inform product and marketing decisions. Regularly engage directly with customers to become a voice of the customer in product roadmaps planning.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment:
- Serve as the key liaison between Product, Marketing, and Sales teams, ensuring alignment on goals and priorities.
- Collaborate with Demand Generation and Digital teams to develop campaigns that drive pipeline and revenue.
- Partner with Product Management to influence the product roadmap based on market and customer insights.
Performance Measurement:
- Develop and track metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of product marketing strategies and initiatives.
- Present quarterly business reviews and performance insights to executive leadership.
Required Skills:
To be successful in this role the incumbent will demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 8–10+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in B2B SaaS.
- Proven success in launching and scaling SaaS products, including experience with enterprise-level products.
- Expertise in positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in tools like Tableau, Google Analytics, and Salesforce.
- Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to executive stakeholders and external audiences.
