Position Summary:
The Director, Product is an innovative leader that drives the strategic design, development, piloting, and scaling of new products spanning the core value levers of the agilon platform (clinical programs, BOI, growth). These products leverage agilon’s partnership network and expand upon agilon’s core capabilities with new and innovative solutions, services, and technology. Ultimately, these products enable agilon to create new sources of long-term value across our markets and serve our partners in new ways. This role promotes and facilitates consistent approach to innovation that enables agilon to achieve our performance objectives, deliver excellent quality outcomes, and define how we scale innovation

Essential Job Functions:
Product Development
- Pipeline: Manage and support alignment of pipeline for new products
- Leverage our partners as sources of ideation for new product concepts & key enablers to development/application
- Proactively research and ideate new products through analysis of data and constant reassessment of core assumptions
- Manage and drive curation of priorities relative to product development and the opportunity pipeline
- The Development Process
- Manage agile product development process focused on “minimum viable product” and iterative approaches
- Evangelize and contribute to the development of an innovation engine and mindset within the organization
- Bring intellectual rigor and “unit economics” mindset to opportunity analysis/screening
Product Implementation
- The Implementation Process
- Ensure alignment across organizational and partner stakeholders for product/market fit & execution plan
- Partner with market leadership, physician leaders, and agilon executive team to drive implementation & execution (operating plan, success measures, targets, SWAT team for support)
- Drive implementation and evolution of process and outcome measurement systems to monitor performance & value realization

- Robust, agile product dev process: Yielding built-for-purpose product
- Buy-in and alignment from internal leadership & our partners around product – design, development, deployment
- Cycle time for development to outcome (idea -> design -> implementation -> measurable results)

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
